Dress options for tall girls?

I had to pass on some fab NAS items because they were not long enough. The lace DVF skirt was a heartbreaker. I have a need for a couple of new workhorse dresses that can be worn in warm weather, and I'm having trouble finding options that are knee length or longer. If you've seen anything fab that runs long I'd love to hear about it.

What is your length requirement? The Vince Camuto skirt is a bit longer (and a 24" skirt is generally knee length or longer on most people - even on the model). What do you prefer your dresses to measure?

I'm not -that- tall, but I like my dresses longer - I've either had to go to the British brands (Boden, Asos, Dorothy Perkins) or go the custom route (eShakti) to get anything past my knees.

ETA: If it helps, I find things longer than 40" are usually past the knee on me. 37" is above the knee.

I'm about 6' tall and feel your pain! Every time I see these leggings, my heart skips a beat--I love them THAT much. But there's no way they're long enough.

I added the Betsey Johnson jacquard sheath dress, from Angie's list, to my think-about-it list. It looks like it's awfully close to knee length on the model. Sometimes there's enough hem to let out and make something work for us tall girls.

A few other resources for tall dresses, besides those Lyn mentioned, are J. Crew, Banana Republic, Land's End, Long Tall Sally, and Top Shop, which has a large selection of tall items. For all of them except Long Tall Sally, you have to order tall sizes online.

I think you may have more luck with some of the skirts. I believe Angie directed Inge to some of the Halogen ones at the sale, saying they would work for her. Are you approximately the same height? I know Sveta is planning to order one of the Halogen skirts as well.

Kyle, I missed you! And I so feel you pain on the length,..
I think this dress and skirts may be at least knee length and possibly longer (I know that VC midi tube skirt hits me below the knee).
And Suz, Sveta already ordered striped Halogen skirt and hopefully it will be long enough to keep...:-)

Sveta, I just got the Halogen striped skirt (the blue and black) and I think you will love, love, love it. I find the length to be perfect, and I really appreciate the structure that the fabric provides. The Halogen leather skirt in a similar style was also a great length, but I passed on it. I am tempted to order another of the striped skirts, but honestly I have more than enough skirts. It's the summer dresses that elude me. I have 2 Kamali turtleneck sheaths that I adore, but they have long sleeves with a knit-type fabric and are just not great for summer. It's hot here!

Thank you for the tips and suggestions, ladies. I think I need to take a measurement off of a dress that works for me and use that as a baseline for some online browsing.

Kyle, if the Kamali turtlenecks work for you, how about one of their sleeveless sheaths? I have the one with ruching and I love it. Of course I am not tall (to say the least) but this is the xs and I think the lengths go up?
