I have an event to go to next weekend. It's a party for one of my husbands friends--there will be lots of country club members and doctors. The venue is popular for weddings--but there is no dress code. My husband is definitely skewing casual so I don't want to look overdressed next to him. My graduation dress seems too nautical and summery and I don't want to wear my black sheath--too funereal. My other dresses are too casual. I have one dressy dress but it has sequins and I think would look like too much next to casual hubby. Wondering what you all think of this theory Nikay dress I found at the rack in Navy. I would wear with my only dress shoes--the Sam Edelman ankle strap in black? Accessorized with my messy pearls? Yay or nay?
