Dress Dilemma

Could Use Some Advice

my apologies for not posting for the last two years. life kind of got busy. i never did get around to trying the outfits i asked about before, but just this week i thing i found the perfect dresses to finally wear with jeans.

is it still a current enough look?

the dresses are from Forever 21, so they will probably only last a season or two. the model pictured is 5'7" and i'm 5'3", so the dresses will be longer on me. i'm going to go with my Giuseppe Zanotti boots, (pictured).

i'm thinking a boot cut jean with the 4 inch heels will lengthen me. not sure what colour.

please, any advice, suggestions, examples, or just some comments. thank you all so much.

Dresses over jeans are definitely still in style. I'm not good at imaging so I'll leave that for others to comment on. I do like the dresses.

Cute dresses! They will look fab worn as tunics over boot cut jeans. For the dark dress, I suggest black or white jeans. With the yellow dress, blue jeans would be great.

The tall boots are fine, if you are able to walk in them. Lower ones or ones with mure sturdy heels would also be OK. For a more springy or summer-ish look, however, I suggest wedge sandals or closed-toe mid- or highheeled mules.

I love the mustard yellow dress. It would look good with faded out skinny jeans and those boots!

I really like the dresses too. Your boots are gorgeous, I couldn't walk in them though. Will the jeans show much of the boots? ( Will they be cropped?)

Jenni NZ, i wear my boot cut jeans long enough so that only the tip of the toe and tip of the heel of the boot shows. cropped jeans make my legs look stumpy.

Ellie, what would you say to faded out boot cut jeans like the Suki Silver ones here?

Great collection of boots! Dress/tunic worn over boot cut jeans and high leather boots = updated 70s. Fab!

Yes awesome boots. All a wee bit high for me. I like the length that you wear your boot cut jeans and agree those will be the best proportions for those dresses. Really nice how you've tucked some jeans in though so we can see all of the boots! I mostly wear skinnies with my one pair of tall boots so the boot is showing not hidden. With boot cut jeans I tend to do ankle boots .

with ankle boots, i will wear a short skirt. my knee length boots are reserved for wearing under my jeans.
