I'm afraid I've been a dismal failure with this challenge, having worn dresses only two of the five days. However, you all have ROCKED this challenge with your gorgeous dress outfits and I hope to see some more today.

This dress is going to the donate pile because after looking at the pictures I don't think it is flattering as it should be.

I love today's looks! MaryK, I love the green and animal print. Ingunn, so creative. And Debbie, you look divine in your red leather jacket!

I am wearing a summer dress with green moto and a scarf tied infinity style. I havent worn a dress in over a month so it was fun. I am glad it was warm enough to wear this today.

Oh my - you ladies are ROCKIN' your frocks today!

Ingunn - your first outfit has a touch of vintage that I just adore - so pretty with the coral cardigan and brooch. And your second look has a completely urban feel to it - love the coloured belt at the waistline - so clever.

Sarah - LOVE this! The moto with the longer skirt works beautifully to my eye.

I am home today because of a snow day (woot woot!) so no dress for me, but Cosmo wanted to get in on the YLF action. He's a boy and has no dresses, but for Christmas his Grammy gave him a handsome winter coat. It's red plaid, and he pattern-mixed it with his leopard print leash, which also has a little red in it. He knows his coat is too big, but he's only 10 months old, so no alterations because he will grow into it.

So, in lieu of what I was going to wear for the challenge, here is Cosmo Edward in his new coat

Ok. Final day: Sweater dress worn as tunic. I think I originally got this because it was mod, worn as a dress. But I'm too old for mini skirts now. I don't own any ruffled underpants...

I feel somewhat lazy posting this sans shoes or any real decoration, but it's been a CRAZY week. This is what I'm actually wearing while trying to get my guys done with school for the week:

This was a fun challenge, even though I didn't participate for all 5 days! Thanks for the idea, Sona, and thanks for running the collective posts Shannon Hope you are feeling better Sona!

Here's my entry for today. I recently bought this fun sleeveless dress for spring/summer; the top is jersey with a drapey neckline, and the bottom is a silver-washed pseudo-suede (not sure what to call it!!). It's a dropped waist on me, but I quite like it (and surprisingly so does hubby). Today I layered it over a lightweight tee with ruched sleeves, but am not super thrilled with the results; the jersey-on-jersey is preventing the top half of the dress from draping properly, so it bunches up. It's not quite as noticeable in person, when I am moving, but it was a nightmare to photograph! Oh well, lesson learned. Paired with gray sweater tights and black mid-calf boots to complete the monochrome look, and my usual winter cranberry lip color stands out much more than it usually does with this dark outfit

Joy - Steven Tyler WISHES he looked that good!

Karie - oh your sweet Cosmo is so darned cute and fashionable. Plaid is very on trend!

Rachy - I'm kind of relieved you don't have any ruffled underpants - lol! Are those the same Jeffrey Campbell oxfords I have?

Brenda - the bare feet are making me giggle! I love that dress on you and that particular shade of denim blue is very flattering with your skin and hair colour.

Aida - ok, well it may have been difficult to photograph when moving, but that dress looks fab on you! We were both doing our grey tonal look today!

Ladies - thank you so much for participating in Sona's dress challenge. I know it would mean a lot to her that we carried on in her absence.

Such fabness. I started in a dress, but realized it was too short for work. I changed into a denim skirt and denim blouse to simulate a dress. Added a fuschia (or hot pink?) sweater and rainbow striped scarf (hello scarf challenge) with fleece lined tights and equestrian boots. Sadly I changed into my loungewear before I realized I had not photographed this look. Imagine me gorgeous.

Here's a recap:

Mon Wed and Fri was a Joe Fresh ponte short sleeved A line dress
Mon with a red jacket rescued from orphandom
Wed with a vegan moto by Canadian design house Periphery
Fri with a jacket (that can zip off the sleeves to a vest) by Pencey Standard (70% off at Shopbop)
Tuesday I wore an Eileen Fisher skirt and a vest that I love, bought in Ottawa this fall
Thursday a new dress from a label called "jackpot" that is made of polyester made from recylcled bottles!
I did wear shoes every day, just didn't have them on for photos every day.

Now bring on the pants!!!

I, too, had a snow day today and an killer deadline so I literally wore my long thermals and a sweater all day until I had to shovel, when I added another layer! My head hurts now.

So very late to post, but I did manage to finish the week with a dress, even with a "home and errands" day and 9 new inches of snow. I amazed at the fabulous looks already on this thread

I wore a grey (looks black, but is actually charcoal) sweater dress today. This is yet another empire, but this silhouette is a little slimmer, and I like the shawl collar with button detail. Sure wish it was 2 inches longer! Since we signed new mortgage papers in our home this morning, I broke out my silver cheetah slipper flats.

Later, when I went erranding and shopping (handbags), I slipped on my grey snow boots and purple peacoat.

My 14 yr old son went to his first dance and wore a tie for the first time tonight. <Sniff>
I was so preoccupied with thoughts of him growing up that I forgot my earrings and what little make-up I usually wear. : )

So many fabulous dress outfits! Thank you, Sona and Shannon, for this challenge. It wasn't easy to come up with dress outfits each day but fun to try. I surprised myself sometimes. Now to take inspiration from other's outfits and hope to have more fun.

I thought we might have another day!!

Anyway here are 2 dresses I wore yesterday (fri), the black one (pic 3) to work with leggings and the other (pic 2) at home ( I am cheating here, these are old pictures - but I did wear the dresses)

And today I wore this dress to go out to a birthday afternoon tea. First time to wear it this summer as it is body con and I am at the high point of my weight range. I feel that I look rather amazonian in it, perhaps partly because my hair is up and thus my head smaller and body bigger. I did get a compliment on it though.

What wonderful pics, Anne! You do look taller in #1, and the camera angle highlights your lovely shoulder line. I think it makes you look fit and curvy --- in a good, not too bodycon way. And the color is beautifully saturated.

Sorry I'm so late posting this. I only had a few replies to my main thread so this will be new to a lot of you. Here's my offering for day 5. It's a dress that I winterised. I normally keep it for cool spring type weather, so here I put it with a jacket and tights and boots. Everyone looks great in their dresses! It's been a fun week. Thanks Sona and Shannon
