Two more days of my work week. This week is busy with lots of events / meetings to attend.
The first day (Wednesday) was one where I really felt pressure to look my best - only because in the evening I attended an Alumni function and caught up with former work colleagues from 15 - 20 years ago. These events, like school reunions and milestone birthdays make me pause and genuinely wonder just where did those years go. Of course it was wonderful to catch up with former friends and we all had a great time, but I am glad that I wore my favourite dress. It probably sounds silly, but it did make me feel confident. So yes, the years have passed, but we have all moved on, and had mixed levels of success, personally and professionally - it was nice to celebrate those old bonds and reconnect. The heels I wore were a bit high and my feet hurt by later in the evening...I was happy to get home and have a foot massage.
Photo 1& 2 - as I was running out the door at 8am, wearing a scarf for my morning commute because it was cold - at work I was not wearing the scarf.
Photo 3 - without scarf - but at 9pm, once I got home... looking a bit worse for wear after a long day.
Photo 4 & 5- Another work day (Thursday) - this is a favourite dress from last year and the pea coat from Zara is 4 years old - an oldie, but a goodie. Wearing long boots with a nice low heel - happy and comfy feet.
Looking forward to Friday!
