I wear dresses most days, but have been very busy and not taken photos. Being the weekend, I thought there was no excuse, so I took a photo of today's dress.
This is an older dress for me, bought about 4.5 years ago. I found it on sale and bought it on deep discount in summer 2015. The problem was, by the time winter came around that year, the dress was too snug. I had put on some weight and it just did not fit comfortably. Since then, I have lost weight, but this dress has not really been on my radar. So it is sad to say that I probably have only worn it about 5 times even though I have owned it for such a long period of time.
Luckily, being a knitted dress, it is timeless, so I can happily start wearing it. Shopping my closet and rediscovering some hidden gems is my challenge for the next few months.
I am wearing a cute little faux fur that I bought from Target. I was looking for a cheap cardigan and ended up with this - which is typical of me.
I went to a family celebration of my brother's birthday. My family is a pretty casual crew, so even though I am casual, I was the most dressed up. That is not a surprise to anyone, as since I was a very young child I was always dressing up - wearing long dresses to family BBQ's when all the other kids were climbing trees in their shorts. So like me buying a faux fur instead of a practical cardigan, some things never change.
I have a close up of my face (which is always a bit confronting), because I am rather enamoured with these shell earrings and I always love to see others accessories.
I have attached another dress photo from Mother's Day - with my son and fur kids. This is the flamingo dress and has been in good rotation because it is an easy transeasonal dress. Unfortunately since then the weather has really cooled down. We had the warmest and driest May on record, but June (thankfully for our farmers) has been wet.
