Dress, buy or not?

Tried on this dress today, love the colour, and I like how it looks straight on, but I know these dresses aren't exactly flattering from other angles... What do you say? They have it in a print too, which I also like, just to make it even harder..! But I think I'd be more comfortable in the green.

As always I appreciate your honest opinions!

I think it's a personal choice as to whether they are JFE.
That said, I like these way better on you than on me.

I have a top that fits similar to this, and I love it, but I haven't found it in a dress that I like.
I do prefer the green.

I vote yes. I really like it on you, Karin, both from the front and side. I love that shade of green on you, but the patterned one looks really awesome too. So I can't choose either;-)

Between the two, green is best, but... I think you should keep looking. Something's funny with the cut.

I really like it. So much so that I'm trying to creep on your dressing room to figure out what store you're in! I'm settling down though, because I don't think the neckline would be my best.

I like dresses exactly like you have this styled here...but, on days that I feel like I need more shape, a little bit of structure in the form of a jacket on top changes everything.

I'm torn between the green and the print. They're both lovely and I'd be tempted to buy both, even knowing that's probably not practical.

I like these styles, and I agree with Aida that the print has a nice wow factor. The green is very pretty on you also, though. You can always add more structure with a little vest or jacket and some nice boots.

Traci - it's a Swedish chain I'm afraid and I doubt they ship overseas... But if you change your mind about the neckline I can always get it for you and send it to you

I really like them both on you; I particularly like the print for the wow factor as Aida says. BTW, your hair looks gorgeous.

I think the dress works well with your body shape and look good on you. I much prefer the green to the print in the dress.

I think it looks good but I like that style of dress. If the dress is long enough sometimes I add a belt on days I want more structure.

I really like both dresses on you. I love that style and as a fan of just flattering enough I am totally on board. To be honest in movement it will look a little different and not quite as it is in the profile photo

Thanks SO much everyone for all your encouraging comments! The dress is now where it belongs - in my wardrobe- and I feel very happy about it!

I'll be looking out for a cardi/jacket that could work on top, as some of you suggested. I got this image in my head of a black cardi, slightly thick and stiff (but still soft and comfy, could be a tricky combo!), and with some interesting details like buttons of gold or wood, or something else... Hmm... Something similar to the one in this pic. No idea if it'd work with the dress though!

The green looks fantastic on you; I say yes. I think a long necklace would be flattering with this dress.
