Barbara Diane, thanks! Sneakers sound fun. I think Spring/Summer is my season for wildcards - it seems easier to make them work. Always gorgeous to see the beautiful grounds at Augusta.
Cardiff girl, thanks! I’m thinking slip-on sneakers, Toms and flat sandals could make this skirt work for casual wearings and the length makes it easy to sit on the floor/ground.
JAileen, thanks! Augusta might be the prettiest golf course. Who are you rooting for?
Pat_P, thanks! One of the reasons I kept looking at it online as I was hoping to find it on sale for my friend. When we bought it the store was having a promo but it didn’t include the Liberty print items. I know she was hoping to get a deal but it never came back in her size. I stumbled on it in store in my size and then got a further discount a week later. Felt like it was meant to be.
Suz, that top is gorgeous! Isn’t the cotton lovely? It’ll be perfect for our hot, humid summers which feel like a distant memory right now!
Carol, good for you! I like your philosophy. I’d like to try and do that mostly too but I need a few refreshers to keep the boredom at bay and some summer tops which rarely seem to go the distance.
Cee, I feel as if I don’t have my spring clothes and shoes at the ready, I’ll miss the season all together! I didn’t think I’d have to wait this long though.
efbgen, I always buy a few blooms for Easter to inject a little spring in our world even though it’s still cold outside. The hyacinth does smell gorgeous! Great job on the blazer and love that hubs participated too. He’s a keeper!
Susie, I’d love to be on the golf course! Not likely around here until at least May. We’re still getting flurries too - ugh! Sounds like you take Angie’s advice and get your shopping done at the beginning of the season to get the best picks.
Jussie, thanks for the validation! It’s a friend I only see about once a month so should be easy to avoid. For a wildcard, I like that I didn’t have to invest too much for the experiment but would’ve spent full price because it’s a cute skirt.
If the weather cooperates, I’ll wear this skirt for Mother’s Day and for the Mother’s Day tea we do at school. Maybe heels and a leather jacket for those events.
