Dreaming of silk!

I am pretty maxed out on silk, but I spotted these options from Parker on eluxe.ca . Love them all!
Do you think the floral top with the matching pants is too matching?
Also, how on earth can a 5'9" model wear a pair of pants with a 30" inseam, and heels, and have fabric pool around their ankles???

She has short legs! I love silk, you can never be maxed out :). I do think floral and floral is too matching, maybe a different pattern?

Sveta is 6 ft and the 30 inch inseam works on her when the pants are tapered and the crotch point hangs lower. This trick adds length to to the leg. That's why I keep on suggesting that the shorter inseam *can* work on taller ladies

I just had an aha moment. It's not all about the inseam! So, if the crotch point is low, the shorter inseam can work. How does this relate to the rise? Lower rise, lower crotch point? I know there must be a blog on this somewhere! My head is spinning.

I'm thinking if the crotch point is lower, then you need to know what the rise of the pant is, when they talk about rise they tell you the length from the crotch to the waistband. So depending on what kind of torso you have, this could be low rise, mid rise or even high rise.

I agree with Kalli - no such thing as too much silk. I love the graphic print in the first pic and the simple off white shell.

Not sure about the pattern on pattern so will leave that for others. I do like the print on the top though.

Ah! Not necessarily, but good question. A low rise can have a normally positioned crotch point, and a dropped one. A higher rise can have a normal crotch point, or a very dropped one. My harem pants are high rise and VERY dropped in the crotch. It's all about the relationship between the waistband, hip measurement and rise measurement. Looser waist and hip fits can be worn lower - which drops the crotch point, and lengthens the length of the inseam.

I like Parker better than Joie for durability and I think quality (I washed one silk blend Joie blouse which was machine washable and it was never the same). They fit a bit large to size.
