Before the pandemic, I fell in love with an Acne blazer when browsing the Space department at Nordstrom (edgy designers out of my price range). A few weeks ago, the blazer showed up at the Outnet at half price. Still a lot of money but I had to order it to try on because what if it was my new perfect casual edgy jacket for work?
It arrived and it is huger in the shoulders than I imagined. I think too overwhelming for frequent wear? This is definitely the best size for me so it’s a style question.
It might be moot because it’s a wool-mohair blend and I guess mohair makes me itch (wool is fine, cashmere not). So the feel of it in my neck and wrists is a little distracting.
But in a lot of ways it’s amazing and surprisingly flattering. I just don’t imagine wearing it as my go-to topper? Maybe I should be more imaginative.
On a less dramatic note - here’s the BR cotton-linen dress. I love it but is it “just dramatic enough” for me? I also got a larger size to compare because this one is almost tight in the chest and shoulders, but the larger size seemed way too big and the fabric is too heavy to drape. No photos of the larger size but I should take some.
