I mentioned the other day that I had been to the hair salon for trim and some exciting new colour. I have to say, one of the things that always puts me off salon colour, aside from the price is the length of time one has to spend in the salon. Well I decided to suck up the cost and boredom for an afternoon as I was really wanting to achieve something dramatic with my hair that box colour can't achieve.

Well I got more than I was bargaining for drama-wise! As I was sitting with foils decorating my head, paging through a magazine, there was a bit of a commotion in the salon kitchen. A fight had broken out between two of the three shampoo ladies (I use the term ladies loosely). What started as an argument turned into an enormous physical fight involving umbrellas and hand-held mirrors.

The owner of the salon, my hairdresser, battled to gain control of the situation and looked like she was wishing the ground would swallow her up. Eventually she managed to split the two ladies and both were immediately suspended and sent home.

Apparently, as I found out when the third shampoo lady got round to rinsing my hair, the fight was over who got to attend to a customer that had just walked in that tips particularly well.

I don't know what will happen between these two women and their boss when she arranges their disciplinary hearing but what a way to lose a job!

Crazy huh?
