Dr Martens platform sandal

I wandered across the Dr Martens website and I noticed these platform sandals

Unfortunately they only come in this one color. Also, they have another pair of platform sandals and clogs.

I thought of YLF because the platform revival comes up in discussion from time to time.
What do you guys think of these?

I haven't been paying attention to sandals, so my brain is a little clouded. Maybe these are not so new at all.

I couldn't do it either. Maybe if they had a thin, higher heel to balance out the tougher rubber sole, but with the short, thick heel they just look too clunky to me, and I don't like the print. But as Beth said, I could see myself being in the minority.

I wonder if my dainty, bony, and fussy foot would approve? My feet generally like Docs, although this sandal is on the chunky side and I might not be able fill out the shoe. Only one way to find out - need to take a stroll down to the Dr, Marten store on 2nd Ave.

I am in love with these - I wonder if I could handle the heel height...

Yay, I'm glad I wasn't off base.

I wonder what's the heel height?

I'm not very excited about the possible velcro closure and the animal print. But it's a good start. I'll be looking forward to more shoes in similar styles.
