How do they fit? I've never owned a pair, but have them on my list of "wants." I noticed on the Zappos website that they only come in whole sizes. Do you guys who wear them usually size up or down if you usually are between sizes?

They run a little big and I size up to wear thick socks underneath. They're more comfy when they are roomy, in my opinion.

Marley, I'm a solid 6.5 and a size 6 fits me very well with room for one pair of thick socks.

I am a 7 1/2 and my Doc's are 5's. British sizing 5, that is! I'm pretty sure it's a unisex size . . . it's been so long since I bought 'em I don't quite recall . . .

I'm a US women's 9-9.5, and I buy a UK 7 in Docs. They run very roomy. Be sure you know whether you are buying a US or UK size. Some US sellers don't bother listing the UK size, so getting the right size can be confusing.

I'm a solid US 8.5 and I have a UK 6 pair of Alexia. I can wear a midweight sock (a little thickness and texture) in it fine.

I've found mine true to size (a relief as I was starting to question my shoe size as a lot of shoes I've bought recently I've had to size down from what I think I should be) I usually wear a UK 6.5, I kept the UK 7 docs as the 6's were a bit too tight. The 7 works great though as it means I have room for thick socks which is handy in cold weather when I wanted the boots for. I found the knee high docs high in the shaft, which is OK with the lace up ones but with ones with just a zip there was no way of tightening the top which left me with a gap x

Like Mo, I'm a 7.5 and wear size 5 (UK) Docs. HTH!
