Purple--color for2022.
Polish--word for 2022.

So that didn't work out so well. In January I lined up my purple clothes. Whoops, more like fruit and veggie colors, from raspberry to eggplant. It turns out that I don't like true purple that much, and now I understand better after reading discussions on YLF. I don't like wearing most clear colors--I feel best in muted or slightly grayed tones of colors, like wine and shades of coral.

I did buy a few items, some dark purple NYDJ. I didn't like wearing them so I hung them in the out-of-season closet. I bought a purple scarf from Novica, beautiful color but it's alpaca and irritates my neck a little, as does wool.

At NAS I bought a purple blazer. Still has tags on. Didn't feel right in autumn. I got it out before Christmas and whoops again, it doesn't fit quite right--holidays and travel expanded the waistline.

Many of the items lean more toward purple, such as the LL Bean quilted sweatshirt. And the pair of Francis no-tie sneakers from Orthofeet.

Not picking a color this year.

My word for 2023: RELAX!

The last 3 years have been stressful. A certain amount of the anxiety I realize I have imposed on myself.

#1 last year's purples
#2-3 Novica scarf--a little wrinkled from drawer.
#4-5 Today's outfit. NYDJ always need to be shortened--didn't bother yet. LL Bean quilted zip sweatshirt. I've bought 3 of these now: this color, dark green, and a taupe that I wore out last year.

And the Orthofeet no-tie sneakers. I have another pair of these in pink. Pretty comfortable, knitted fabric so my feet don't overhead. With bunions, I don't like to wear socks.

I'll try the blazer again in spring. Annual post holiday ritual: eat too much, then work on repairing the damage.
