I needed some summer tops at the beginning of the season.

I nabbed the two Angie finds below and a couple other items from summer sales are on their way.

So is the wildcard dress.

I could use more non-open-toed summer shoes, but those are so very hard to find. If some drop in my lap, I will snap them up.

Otherwise, I am going to wear the heck out of what I have as I will start packing up summer stuff in about 8 weeks.

How about you? How are you doing with your summer shopping? Anything left on your list?

Great finds, I like the floral wrap. I am done winter shopping here. Now just looking to gradually re-stock some basics that are slowly wearing out.... but that's an ongoing project.

Ooh those two wrap tops must look amazing on you Thistle! Crossing fingers that the teal dress works out, it is gorgeous. Closed-toe summer shoes are staples for me but yes they can be tricky to find. I was able to update about a third of my desired footwear which I'm counting a major success. Still have several clothing pieces which need updating but I think I did pretty well on them for the most part so hopefully next spring I can do the rest. One more big box of dresses on their way to me, and after that I think I'm done until fall. (How did that come up so fast!??)

You chose some lovely items and should be wearing them as much as possible. I plan to wear my summer clothes, especially anything trendy a lot while the weather permits and wait at least until NAS before buying anything. My relatively new climate means that I need transitional items or ways to extend the seasons with what I have.

I was hoping to find replacement taupe slingbacks for a pair that’s 10+ years old, a white denim skirt, and woven short-sleeved blouse/shirt. But, I haven’t found quite the right items, so decided to join Team Wear with what I have, and look for those items next spring/summer.

Those are great selections Thistle! And I can only wish I had just 8 weeks of high summer left. For us, I'm afraid it's just started with the 100+ days - and it will last into October. I am pretty well set this year - plenty of things to wear in the heat.

Nice choices. I stopped summer shopping after I went a little crazy with stocking up on new sandals, dresses, and finding new beach wear (hat, coverup, bikini) for vacation. I’m set for now through September. And I’m not feeling like styles are changing much for the coming F/W season and I’ll be pretty happy to keep wearing what I already have. So I’m definitely slowing my roll with shopping through the rest of the year. Budget is going to travel and home projects instead.

My Summer shopping stopped in March. Added a few more dresses and a pair of sandals. BEST dress season ever.

Putting it in terms of the number of weeks left is sobering 8 weeks can fly by pretty quickly, and I'm going to stick it out without adding anymore stuff at this point. My closet is packed - and I don't wear 90% of it . Lots to pick from in my own closet and nothing at retail that is calling my name. I'm getting more gratification lately from wearing things a lot, and actually wearing them out, than from buying more new things.

And man, do I love that teal dress - so pretty. I worry about how the neckline is though, and hope it works out for you.

Have been too busy for summer shopping, but somehow I have managed to buy:
● A sleeveless maxi dress with a geometric print in black & white
● A rose beige tee
● Rose beige patent Birkenstocks
● A gauzy shawl, white with a geometric print in rose beige, purple, blue and black.

Still looking for and hoping to buy in the next few weeks:
● A non-neutral summer dress
● A white skirt
● Sandals in a non-neutral colour
● A midi-length summer coat

More of a reminder to me. When the November And January sales come, I still have months of cold weather.

8 weeks?! ugh, I haven’t even had the chance to wear my new summer dresses because our weather has been unseasonably cool. Last year at this time it’d been scorching for weeks! Though we did have quite a hot autumn so if that happens again maybe I can get these Boden beauties into heavy rotation after all.

other than still looking for a fashion sneaker that my fussy feet will endure for long period of walking, I'm done. I've only tried I'm guessing 6 pairs! May need toe surgery but trying very hard to continue wearing a toe splint and 'get through' a vaca overseas, a retreat I'm giving in October and my granddaughter's wedding in mid-October. Motivated! and my podiatrist is doing everything he knows to support those goals.

wrap tops I love. they cinch in the waist and give definiton. Those two tops you bought are lovely--the v-necks create a long line and that hem on the second top I dearly love. those are winners for your closet happiness. your new dress, you can dress it up or down. I have one similar in a rust color that I've worn with a jean jacket. It shows more leg than I'm super comfortable with but a stylist told me this summer when I almost did not buy a body-con dress in her store, "why not? this too shall pass. show some curve while you got it!" And I'm 71, honestly. show some curve? I bought that dress this summer, no regrets.

I'm so sorry for your foot! Foot pain is awful, and so few shoes seem to support it, sometimes. Selections are getting better, but still not there.

I live in Oklahoma, the hot part of summer is just getting started and I will wear summer clothing thru October. I'm loosing weight and bought a new dress my pants are just to loose now.

Hot here until November, at least. Definitely need a few more things . . . Hoping the shoes I'm thinking of for monsoons will work. Need at least a pair of hiking shorts, a pair of bf jeans, a blouse, a long sleeve shirt, a new crossbody, and a black tee. Summer clothes usually make it 1.5 seasons before they need replacement so plenty of churn.

I would almost be with you in this but I just enjoy retail too much! I have a lovely summer wardrobe and I’m settled with it but I enjoy looking and trying too much to say I won’t do anymore.

Like you though some closed toe summer shoes would be very good to find!
