Does this sweater fit? eta - sorted. It's going back for a smaller size :)

Hi all! Hoping for some advice - does this sweater fit ok, or does it look too big? I'm sort of between a size xs and s at BR ... This is the s ... It feels good, but not sure if it looks too loosey goosey. Thanks for weighing in!

ETA - Think I'm being lazy, since this is the missing BR package that was finally re-sent, sans one of my items, and I'm fed up with waiting and putting effort into this now. But I think I need to suck it up and head to the mall to size this down - yes? Thankfully the other piece, which is also a size s (sweatshirt), fits ... which begs the question of the sizing logic, but that's a question for another day!

ETA2 - the consensus seems to be it's too big, so back it goes!

It looks a bit roomy but not in a bad way. What is the fibre content? I have had BR sweaters shrink on me.
I love the V-neck!
I cannot wear merino (itchy on me), so a lot of BR offerings are ruled out. I got a cotton/silk blend this fall but I am not impressed with the quality. It’s flimsy and has pilled some.

Thanks Tina! I do love the sweater - it's a great addition to my essentials. It is merino - I don't find them itchy (I have in the past, but I think they've changed something about them so they don't itch - maybe a finer thread or something?)

Hmm, now not sure - I am terrible with sizing! I'll see what others say. Perhaps I am too old-fashioned wanting it to fit more snuggly!

It's tough to see with the dark color, but the shoulder seams look like they're falling a bit low to me, so a size down might work better, especially if you prefer a closer fit, which it sounds like you do!

(BTW, I like this a lot! I've had a hard time finding lightweight V-neck pullovers recently.)

To my eye, the sweater looks a little too big. That said, I generally also prefer a little more fitted tops and sweaters, so it might be just a personal preference and please take it as such.

Good to hear you don’t find them itchy anymore! I may need to try one on the next time i’m in BR.
Would you mind reporting back after washing? I can tell this sweater is very roomy (and it does look too big), but I am very wary of shrinkage. So many of their sweaters, in a nice variety of colours, are merino. I would be excited if they were not itchy anymore!

I agree to size down, HOWEVER, you have really good shoulders and you are pulling this off, IMO.

I have small, slopes shoulders, and I find I have very little room for error.

Tina, for sure; I'll let you know. The last merino items I purchased were from Gap, and they have been great from an itch factor as well as shrinkage (mind you, I always wash in cold and hang to dry; I wouldn't risk it). I am hoping to BR should be at least as good quality given the price difference, but one never knows!

If that is the most current BR merino v-neck I found them to run large. Usually I can do an XS even though Petite S is generally best. I was swimming in the XS in the most current one. I tried an XXS which fit in the body but was too tight in the sleeves. The v-neck from earlier in the season fit me much better.
