Does this outfit work?

After Angies blog about airport fashion I decided to organised my outfit for travelling next week. I am travelling alone with my little girl (11 months) so need to be a bit practical.
I already posted a picture of this dress, with long cardi and heels but want to see what you think of it this way and is it ok to travel in?

Lovely as always, I just feel that for traveling (and alone with your baby and the bagage) you should wear flats or 1" heel.

Rute I am wearing flat strappy sandals here, do you think they are ok? I don't have decent enough flat pumps to wear or ones that are comfy enough for that matter. The flat sandals will also be used practically every day while I am on holiday!

Loulou - this will be the third time I have travelled alind with her. She is very good on the flights, so far anyway, so I am not all that worried. It is only just over 3 hours as well so not too bad.

Good luck traveling alone. The outfit looks fab. I'd vote for the pashmina over the necklace so little hands don't grab the latter and the former might keep you warmer if the plane temp is chilly.

I am traveling tomorrow and you just inspired me to maybe wear leggings on the flight. I REALLY like your outfit, it's something I would totally wear. I think it's practical and comfortable for travel and quite chic. I like the sandals with it as well, as long as they're comfortable to walk in!

Shiaya - my daughter loves necklaces, I am taking a few extra ones for her to play with on the flight they kep her occupied for hours lol!

Angie - my daughter is like a hot water bottle, she makes me so hot. I might take a pair of socks to slip on my feet while on the flight!

You look perfect! I flew home on a four hour flight yesterday with a similar outfit of sleeveless dress, leggings, pearls, flats and jean jacket and was very comfortable. I absolutely love travel in a frock and leggings. It's dressed up a bit but comfortable. It was more comfortable than the jeans I wore going.
One discovery that worked well on this trip is wearing a twisted decorative black cord headband from Forever 21 as a necklace. It can be pushed up into headband position if hair becomes unruly and has no metal to set off detectors.
