Does this NAS dress work? ETA: returning.

So this is the dress Janet recommended...

I WANT to love this dress but I just don't know. Is it too big? Does it just not work on my body type? The shoulder feels off, under the arm feels loose, and the whole thing - while comfortable as heck - feels just like a shapeless bathrobe.

Is it worth trying an XS (which feels like a REAL stretch, given the sizing)? Or, is this just not right for me?

Try the xs! The shoulders look really wide and it does seem big all over. Sizing to me is just a rough guideline, a place to start. With all the potential fits its kinda random.

Too big and shapeless. Glad you are skipping. Sometimes it just takes the act of taking a photo and posting it for me to release something doesn't work as it should.

Well, I am glad I saw this on you because it's clearly the wrong dress (or the wrong size!) and you will find a million that will flatter you more. I wanted to love it, too. But onwards!!

Yeah, what a disappointment! I figured it was so close to working on me, it would be a slam dunk on someone with a straighter figure, but clearly there are other factors at play. It does look big all over. Like Angie says, next!

I had thought about ordering this in a petite. I saw the regular in store on Saturday and immediately knew it would be too sloppy on me.

Marilyn, if it doesn't work on Vivian, it won't work well on me, either. There are enough overlaps in our body type and overall style that I can see right away it's the wrong thing. I'd have ordered xs, so it might have fit closer than this one does on Viva, but the other issue is the scale of the print looks off to my eye -- which means it would be really unflattering on me (since I'm shorter.)

I can’t unsee bathrobe now...glad you are sending it back. On to the next.

I think maybe styled out and on someone with different coloring, stronger features. I have more fine features too and every time I try plaid flannels I just look off—except for back in 1993 when I was young and rocked the grunge look!
