Apparently I have to find something to wear for grad. I have been informed that it will be a sit-down dinner event where cocktail length is appropriate. I also have parents coming to this event, so I figured I should somewhat be modest; and my parents both have issues against spaghetti straps and strapless dresses.
Are there any thoughts on this fit-and-flare in black from BCBG? It has a see-through back with the mesh detail which I think is quite pretty; and there's nothing wrong with showing a little back, right? Length I thought was okay; and the neckline isn't very low (so my scars won't show).
It is about $168 on eBay; so more than I normally spend on a frock, but I guess this isn't a normal occasion? If I get an a-okay on YLF: I will start saving up for it (I have a few months time; so it should be doable). I was looking on kijiji and the "used grad dresses" of a high school type were being sold for >$300. That's insane. I want a real dress for that price!!
Any other brands I should be looking at? This is BCBG MaxAzira's "Cecile" - but I am open to other suggestions too
