Does this look like a nurses uniform?

Another dress that I had made at the tailors but not sure about. I got it made up in two colours the first is lime green with white trim and I love that one (I think) and the second as you will see here. I can't help but feel it looks a bit like a nurses uniform due to the pastel shades. My husband said it could work with the right accessories but I have no idea what that would be?! It is quite a loose fitting dress and I would prefer to wear with flats to be comfy, any ideas? or should I just accept this was an error of judgement in the fabric shop and move on? it cost around $45 to have made.

yes, it looks a bit like a nurse uniform, but I agree with your husband.

It is perfect for the weekend, to go tho the beach, you can wear it with flats or sandals

I like bella's suggestion of brown sandals and earthy jewelery. I also like the style of the dress, but I would see if they can remove the cap sleeves. My very favorite summer dress is a similar style and it is so comfy!

I think it's the accessories which will make all the difference with this one (your husband is very perceptive). I think if you make sure the accessories would never be worn by a nurse then you'll pull it off.
Bright shoes and bags and bold jewellery. Could you post some pictures of it put together with some things? x

I could see this dress as a tunic over skinny or straight blue jeans. You could add a summery natural woven fiber bag.

A lot of this probably depends on your hairstyle, too. But I do agree that with some great accessories and shoes, you should be good to go. I'm thinking bronze gladiator sandals, like these:

I think it is pretty cute and I would love to see a photo of the limegreen version. I would try it out and if you still don't like it, you could try dyeing it a different color before you give it away.

Yes, I see the dress as a tunic as well. As Joy said, it would look cute over jeans, or even leggings (a denim type), with a woven bag. So cute and summery. I hope you can make it work!
