Does anyone have a good source for knit blazers?

I want to retire my St. John's because despite my care, I lose too many to moths. I am ok with pure cashmere, because I can wash that at home on a regular basis. I was interested in those by Calson at Nordies, but they're not offered at the moment. I like Majestic Filatures, though they are pricey. Any other suggestions?

What about J Crew? I think they do a cotton blend if moths are an issue.

I have the J Crew from 2017. Very nice wool. It says dry clean but I've washed it twice without a problem. I also have a cashmere blazer from NM brand from a couple of years ago. I don't remember seeing anything like it this year. I wait until December at least because they keep dropping the price on their store brand cashmere as the weeks pass.

Hmmm....what price are you looking to spend? I think of St Johns as very pricey and Carlson was moderate...if your ok spending somewhere in between I’d look at Eileen Fisher..also the Nic & Zoe label

Kkards, I was really hoping for the inexpensive Calson. The St. Js WERE expensive, but coupled with the dry-cleaning requirement just doesn't make it worthwhile for me anymore.

I do have some EF, but I have never seen them do blazers, which is what I'm really looking for.

MsMaven, I've seen those NM cashmere blazers and they were perfect, but alas, I haven't found them recently for sale either, though they are at Last Call: https://www.lastcall.com/Neima...../prod50730 I'm thinking of buying one...but I wanted the burgundy, darn it!

Talbots seems to always have some form of the sweater blazer, tho certainly not cashmere. Did get a double faced wool from EF a few years ago and it has held up pretty well. I’d also check Boden. Good hunting!

I own the Caslon jacket from a few years ago. It lost its shape after the first wash and has hung wrong ever since...

Delurked, those are perfect, except for the colors. I will keep checking back, though.

I looked at the Caslon and based on how the Caslon jacket was constructed, I suspected that it would not wear well. BrieN confirms my suspicion

If you are used to the weight and knit of St John, I would not recommend Caslon. They are typically a lighter weight and as noted below, stretch easily. The price is good, but whenever I’ve tried, they’ve been donated by the end of the season.

I’d suggest Talbots, Nic+Zoe, or maybe Pendleton?

Adding to the recommendations for Talbot's.

A few years ago, a sister-in-law decided her work uniform would be dark jeans and knit blazers, and Talbot's was our best source. Also, they have a greater range of sizes than anyone.

I have a Caslon one and I don't recommend it at all. It's comfy but the fit is sloppy. I think the things that people like about it (softness, thin and unlined material) make it look sloppy. In my wardrobe, it functions as more of a cardigan than a blazer, and I have cardigans that fit better.

I don't have any recs because my other knit blazers are all pretty old, but I would look for one with a lining at least, and maybe a little more structure (like shoulder pads or at least a thicker fabric).

The Caslon ones from a few years ago were lined and much dressier looking; the ones from the last couple NAS's read very casual. Most of mine are a few years old now, from Target, JC Penney, Loft, Caslon, and Ann Taylor. I feel like the ponte blazer is on its way out, trend-wise.

Another vote to check out Talbots. I have owned a few knit blazers from there. Two - a teal and an icy blue — seemed to garner a compliment almost every wear. I have never washed them, but have dry cleaned a number of times without issue,
