Does anyone have a "Danier" for petites?

I didn't know Danier existed...until about two weeks ago.

I'm a leather kind of girl. If my budget and lifestyle could have it I'd own a piece of leather something for every occasion. For now I'd settle for owning a jacket, some leggings and a pencil skirt. I already scored a jacket earlier this year from Nordstrom (and I love it to death even if the sleeves area little long) but I'm totally on the hunt for the other two pieces.

I'd totally scour Danier if tailoring was feasible, but it generally isn't.. So does anyone have another place to shop quality leather for a fair price for petites? (Awesome sale prices don't hurt either!)

Leather in petite sizes seems to be a rare animal. Banana Republic occasionally has leather items in petite. They have a few things available now. So does Talbots. They currently have a pencil skirt on their website....available in black and brown. Also, J Crew. If you love leather and need petites those are stores to watch. I got a fantastic leather dress at BR a few years ago.
Danier offers an alteration service and I've been pleased with both the price and results. They shortened zippered sleeves on my leather jacket for only $25 and they look absolutely perfect.

White House Black Market occasionally has leather jackets in petite sizes, though to get a good price you'd have to wait for a sale. I think Ann Taylor might have the occasional petite leather jacket as well.

I am in the same boat. I just keep looking! Eventually something will turn up.

I bought a leather jacket that had half-elastic sleeves from Danier and took it home to the US to be altered by my tailor (not cobbler). They successfully shortened it from the bottom of the sleeve, which avoids complications around making the armscye smaller if you shorten from the shoulder.

Too-long sleeves have become my pet peeve, and I'm petite so I get it. My other leather jacket is a petite size Bernardo from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a few years ago. The sleeves are perfect, but the body is very cropped on me (I have a long torso with short arms and legs).

Have you checked the sleeve lengths etc of Danier jackets? I have, over the years, when visiting Canada, acquired quite a collection of them, and I noticed recently, to my consternation, that the sleeves were shorter than before. No idea if it was just the ones I was looking at, or if this is a general trend, but I mention it in case you have not fully investigated.
