I vote camouflage *if* the fabric does not cling. Some knits cling so badly it makes me want to cry.

I have had this dress sitting in my Anthro cart for almost two months now. I can't get it out of my head. It will have to sit there for a while longer as I ponder it further.

What do you think of this style for me? I do like that it comes in petite.

If it is a clingy knit it will accentuate. If it is heavier and non-clingy it will camoflauge!

I think it depends much upon the fabric. I vote give it a try! I think it could be marvelous.

BTW --- I see this and I think I"d have a case of old lady elbows. I hate to see a sleeve that ends right before the elbows, since I think mine look, well, fat and old. Is this common? Do I need intervention? An elbow makeover?

It's actually interesting when you read the reviews - not very flattering at all. Think I will be passing on this as it seems the suspicions about it accentuating bottom heaviness are accurate.

I'll throw in one more thing - it depends on how big your boobs are and if they are bigger than your belly - mine aren't
I wouldn't want all those pleats at my belly. I like rouching but at the side to create the illusion of a waist, not right in the middle.

Thank goodness for reviews. Ever since I noticed that often, when Angie recommends an item, she says, "read the raving reviews," I started reading them. And the reviews are usually right!

On me, it depends if the waist hits in the correct place, too. Too high, and it can accentuate because it messes up the drape.

Yeah, I would say it depends on the fabric and how your body is shaped. Not universally flattering, I'm afraid. Nice drape though, from the picture!

i think it can go either way, depending on where the waist hits. if it is too close to the boobage, you will get maternity, a bit lower, camouflage all the way. As a side note, that rouching at the hip is not for the bottom endowed, like moi, for example. that dress would be killer on an IT.

I am with Zap. That dress is MADE for an IT. Those of us that are more pear shaped, I think it would just accentuate the pear, so to speak.

However, you never know until you actually try it on. However, if the reviews aren't flattering, they are probably right. I have made this mistake in the past, and I have found that the reviewers are almost always right!

I don't know, but I really like the drape on that skirt! I have 2 jersey dresses with completely different cling/camouflage factors. The lined Vivienne Tam is great, the unlined VS wrap shows every seam of underlayer.
