I wear dress socks with loafers if it's cold. You're ankles will get frostbite here if you go without covering them!

Thistle, doesn't cold often mean snow, and don't your loafers have slick soles? Keeping them on in the cold, even with socks--you live dangerously!

Hi Fashiontern- I wear dressier socks (usually with a pattern) in the winter with my loafers like the two pairs in my finds. They both have some tread on the bottom so they aren't too slippery. I don't wear them on days when we are getting a lot of snow but if the walks are shoveled they are fine.

On warmer days I wear no-show socks, but I can't manage that in the winter here.
