I wear beanies and berets. I’d like to try other styles, but so far haven’t found a good bucket hat, and baseball hats don’t suit me.

Yes. Mostly I wear them to cover my ears - so sometimes I do a headband.

ETA: Beanies! I forgot to say! And ear flap hats… what are they called?

I've been wanting a Kangol hat for awhile now. I'm going to say that those will be popular soon. A throwback to rave days.

I wear mostly beanies in winter, sometimes berets. Not too tight beanies, but also not super loose. I just got a charcoal grey beanie with florets like from the early aughts.

I definitely wear hats in cold weather, even though they don't flatter me all that much with my very short hair and large head. But needs must!

I tend to wear toques and cloches. I have a few more that are not in Finds but need to be added.

I wear a proper hat with a large brim all year round because the sun is very intense here all year round. My winter (daytime) hat is cotton in a moleskin colour. It looks like worn leather. At night or on a very overcast day I might wear a beanie or a baker boy or military style cap.

Beanies for at least half of the year to protect my ears against the icy wind off the Black Sea. Last year I finally found a cream one that I actually like on my big head. I also have a droopy, light grey one that I wear for a different vibe some times. Buckets and baseball caps do not suit me either. In summer I have a guava pink wide brimmed sun hat for walks. It was my permanent accessory the summer I was growing out my natural hair.

I live in Ottawa, Canada, so yes, I must wear a hat in our cold weather! I do so a bit reluctantly though, as I don't love the feeling.

I have a very small head and most hats are just too big. I am all [chilly] ears if anyone has any leads on hats for pinheads!

Yes. I have many with pompoms and fleece lining around the ear area. I like the ones that are bulkier knit or cable texture because they are cozy and don’t feel tight. I would like this one.

I don't like hats - they look bad on me and make my head itch - but when it is cold enough I wear a beanie. My favorite is one that I knit, it fits loosely enough but not too loose and the yarn is soft. Still makes me itch after a while but that could be all in my head - haha.

I am with Robin. I have never met a hat that looked ok and did not itch my head. In winter I keep my hair long to cover my ears, and a hat in my pocket to don in emergencies.

I wear hats because my ears get cold so easily. But it's tricky, since I have a big head and really don't like how many hats flatten my hair. I never wear beanies. I like berets, since they are snug only at the band, and the bigger the better. I've also knitted several vintage-pattern "skating hats", which are basically 3" wide headbands that tie. Sometimes I tie them under my chin and sometimes in back under my hair. I also just got a refurbished fur hat from Oliver Furs in Montreal, sized to my specification! I'm looking forward to wearing that one.

I used to dislike hats and all my winter jackets had hoods.Vanity, you know Hats make my thin hair flat. I’m over it now. I started with a black beanie a few years ago and now have 8. Mine are all cashmere. My head is small, cashmere hats from Aritzia work well for me. I like their quality, too. And a have a few from COS. Uniqlo offers nice ones every year, I have one, it’s a bit too loose. I might need to wash it in hot water to shrink.

I don’t care about that might be trendy. The simpler the better.
wish I looked good in berets or baseball hats, though.

I like hats and have an old collection but don’t wear a lot of the more structured ones lately. My default in recent years is a good floppy cashmere beanie or knit beret, and I’ve collected a few in my most worn colors.

I also look pretty good in a newsboy-ish style and certain fedoras, if I can find the right size for my small head. Cloches can work too, but don’t necessarily jibe with my current style.

This is exactly why all of my winter coats have hoods! I have a loosely knit hat that I wear when it's really bitter, and a couple headbands that will do otherwise. I would love to have one of those Russian style fur hats, except in faux fur. Like Suz, I have a biggish head and very short hair, and hats don't do me any favors.

I wear glasses and hearing aids and have a sensitive spot behind one ear, so have to be careful about fit. My bucket hats were purchased in the men’s department and my best winter beanie was knit by me with a very loose rib and from baby alpaca yarn.

Rarely do I wear hats in the winter despite having extremely short hair. I do not like the look or feel of beanies, berets, or cloche style hats on me. I do have a wide brimmed wool hat that I will wear occasionally. I have a coat with a detachable hood, but it reduces my peripheral vision when I use the hood. So I just wear the coat without the hood for safety. I'll wear a fleece headband to keep my ears warm while I'm hiking.

Yes. Mostly beanies. I get a hat, scarf and gloves for each coat. They live in a plastic bag hung on the same hangar as the coat. Sometimes there is an extra Christmas scarf in the same bag and worn in December Anyone see rust or olive gloves?

YES! Love hats for VERY practical reasons. They are WARDROBE ESSENTIALS for my style

1. Sun hats with wide brims in the hot and sunny Summer. Sunscreen is not enough. I need COVERAGE.

2. Beanies when it's cold. Love berets, but they don't keep my head and ears warm, which is why I wear a beanie. VERY effective against ear ache, which I get when the cold seeps into my very sensitive ears. Especially the wind. And by the water wear we live, there is lots of cold wind.

For winter I have this earwarmer, and a black brimmed warm hat (not in Finds).
I had a very warm beanie, but it got too pilly, so will need a new one.
I would like a cloche, but haven't found the right one yet.

TBH I rarely wear the winter hats, cause it's usually not that cold. Plus not sure how they'll work with the wigs.

Now gloves are the cold weather accessory that I do wear often!

I always wear hats in cold weather when hiking or walking the dogs. I wear beanies, most of which I knit myself (hats and scarves are all I know how to knit!). In warm weather I wear a wide brimmed sun hat or a sun visor.

Beanies, caps and berets don't look great on me, but I wear beanies (or a bucket hat) for very casual like walking the dog or sports- my hats have to have some structure and shape for looking good. And I would like to have hoods on all my coats, but not always possible.

I wear a straw hat sometimes in summer(my fave has a similar turned up brim like Angie's in nr 1) and seldom -when really needed only- a cloche in winter just because I always get the dreaded hat head underneath. Somebody said a hat with fine, thin and no root lift-flat and straight hair +bangs (and specs:-)) is a mare and I did have these (except specs for only the last 12 yrs) all my life. BUT in the meantime- I always gather compliments when I wear one. I don't have good hair so adding something on my head it seems elevates and frames my face and body somehow.

Like Angie I wear hats a lot, in the summer, in the cold winter, and my least obsession rain hats. I prefer a bucket hat, but for really cold winter I like a beanie that totally covers my ears. Not the best photos, and not and all my hats lol
