In my part of the world, yellow is THE Easter colour, often mixed with light or clear green or perhaps white or soft neutral earth colours. Around Easter it is very popular to decorate homes, especially tables, in these colours, and yellow flowers are offered everywhere. In addition, fashion magazines and boutiques often encourage people to wear yellow clothes. Nevertheless, few yellow clothes are actually seen in the streets, in offices and in parties.

In my experience, if someone is wearing yellow clothes around Easter, she will often get positive, appreciating remarks even from strangers. However, many people will also say things like "you remind me of Easter", "you look like an Easter flower", or even "you make me think of an Easter chicken".

It would be interesting to know about the customs in other parts of the world. How is it where you lIve? Are certain colours considered to be "Easter colours"? Are they used for decoration only, or are people encouraged to wear them too? And how do YOU feel about wearing "Easter colours"?
