Nope. Most of my friends are hourglass or pear shapes. Whatever I wear will NEVER work on them!

I have lent a dress here and again and had no trouble getting it returned in good shape and timeframe. I did once have a roommate who wore a new with tags dress of mine without asking, and ruined it. It wasn't expensive but I was not happy that I never got to wear it myself. \ /

No way! I've never done that past high school. The only one that borrows my clothes is my sister and I am on her case until she returns them.

I rarely, almost never, share clothes or shoes with my daughter, and we are the same shoe size and top size. We actually have two pairs of identical shoes, in the same size, one for each of us. She scuffs the heels of her shoes, that drives me nuts so it's a no go for sharing.

i will sometimes share things with my sister since when i travel to visit i plan for the forecast weather which isnt always the actual weather! i have a great friend who gives me the occasional things... this usually seems to coincide with my children destroying my clothes during playdates at her house... which she ends up having to clean up. Talk about an awesome friend!

Not anymore. I used to in my 20s. I did do it 3 years ago when a friend needed a long warm winter coat for one occasion, so she wore mine.

I have almost everything tailored now, so I am not sure that anything would actually fit anyone else. But I don't have an issue with it.....

Hysterically enough, my sister ( who is mentally disabled ) thinks we are the same size ( she is larger ) and some times she will come to my house and put something of mine on when I am not watching and she will split a seam, LOL. Thankfully, our tastes are very different so she doesn't like the majority of my stuff. But she does loves bags and she used to go into my closet and then say, " Look what I found !! I love it, I am taking it home ! "

I have but it is limited to formal clothes. A friend who is about my size went on a cruise two winters ago and I invited her to try on my cocktail and formal dresses. She was able to find enough for every formal and semi-formal night on the cruise. One was a Carmen Marc Valvo lightly beaded print gown. It is my favorite dress and I knew she would take good care of it and she did. I wanted it to get worn more than the two or three times I had opportunity to wear it. I wouldn't lend clothes to anyone but do have a few good friends that I would trust and since I have the clothes and few opportunities to wear them these days (used to be on the board of a volunteer organization that did a few formals a year), I don't mind helping them avoid the expense.

Nope. But I gave my 18 yr. old daughter one of my sweaters and she gave me one of her shirts because they each flatter the other better. I am borrowing a couple of pairs of dress pants from her until she starts her summer job; then we will see how they fit her. She wore my leather and denim jackets until I lost weight and took them back. I bought textured hose figuring that if I don't like them on me, I can always give them to her. I take much, much better care of my clothes and don't lose them so I generally don't like to share with her.

Not since high school!

I don't like the idea of wearing clothes that have been used by someone else. The only pre-owned items I own are from my late mum or from my grandmother.

They try to squish into my clothes and break the seams and then insist that they didn't do it. Then I'm out clothes!

I might if I had any friends who were the same size as me. The only time I've had a problem with sharing was when a friend of mine (during my late teens/early twenties) would borrow things without asking. She even took a few things that still had tags on them. I don't mind sharing, but I should be the first to wear my own clothes. And she never washed the things she borrowed before returning either. For some reason, the idea of sharing shoes is very off-putting to me so I've never done that.

not me, but my girlfriends are around 1-2 sizes smaller and regularly switch clothes between each other. I am so jealous I cannot join in!

No, but I happily lend fancy (usually costume) jewellery or evening bags to someone like my Mom or a good friend who needs something to jazz up a formal-ish/dressy outfit. I've also loaned out things like a wrap or accessories to family members and friends who are part of a wedding party.

I don't really know anyone who wears the same size as I do, and even if I did - I don't know anyone who would ask to borrow clothing. If a good friend or family member has a special event and I'm listening to them figure out accessories (or lack therof), I will often say, "I've got the perfect necklace..." or, "Come over for coffee and look at the evening bags I have." For some reason, it makes me happy that these rarely used items get to shine on someone else on their special day or occasion.
