Recently I've been looking through drawers or my closet when getting dressed in the morning, and finding myself constantly evaluating which clothes are nice enough for school/work, and which clothes I can "get away with" on days where I barely leave my house. I feel like I'm wasting time re-evaluating what is good for the day ahead and what needs to be saved for a different type of day.
Currently, I keep my "low status" clothes (sweats, workout wear, painting clothes) in a separate drawer so that I only look at and think about them when I want to. I'm considering making further distinctions, with "medium status" (casual t-shirts, ribbed tanks, casual shorts) and "high status" (anything I could wear to work, and nicer) clothes kept separate.
I could still wear "high status" clothes on more casual days, but it would prevent me from even considering wearing "medium status" clothes to work/school. Thoughts?
