Do you run hot or cold?

It's in the high 40s here and people are out in t-shirts and shorts! Which is typical in spring, but frankly I am still freezing. I am most comfortable in 75-85 degree weather, or even hotter if it's near a beach. I sometimes still have my car seat heater on in summer here!

What is your ideal temperature range, and do you tend to feel hot or cold more often?

I had to find temperature converter so we can speak the same language, I just don't get Farenheits

I'm a girl from the south of Europe and my hometown is known for summer temperatures as high as 113 F! I am used to heat and warm climate. I love warm weather. I am at my best between 75 - 90 F. I hate cold. I don't function in cold. Cold = layers = wool = I need to be warm. At work I am the one constantly complaining about air-con, I always feel where draught is coming from, I used to keep spare cardigan at work and worse of all - if I'm cold, I tend to yawn!

Imagine me at the meetings at work in the cold rooms!

I hate A/C! Artificially chilled air feels so cold to me. I actually bring a sweater around in Hawai'i in case I have to run into a store, because the A/C is always on indoors.

I love love love love love warm temps (which is silly since I live in the armpit of Canada); but I don't like having to look professional + the summer + sticky. So I like anything from -10 to +25

My favorite temperatures are in the 70s and 80sF (20s to 30sC) -- not too cold or too warm. Luckily we get quite a bit of that for almost half the year. It can get into the high 90s sometimes, but then I'm usually hiding indoors or in the shade.

In winter, I am very very layered b/c I get cold easily, but with layers I manage to keep toasty warm. Winters range from 50s to the -40sF (-40F = -40C), often within a few short days, very changeable weather. I don't mind winter weather that's in the 20s to 30sF for doing outdoor activities or sports.

(p.s. had to use a Celcius to Fahrenheit converter to answer this question).

I like mild weather in general, be it cooler or warmer. I'm happiest in 50-75F I think 85+ for the beach, unless in WA then it's like 95+ because our water is damn cold!

EDIT: I run cold, forgot to say. Also, despise HOT HOT heat. Bleh! And I love snow

COLD. Oh, so cold! 75-80 is ideal, although I admit it's easier to get dressed for about 70.

I feel strangely like a see-saw lately, cold when others are hot, and vice versa - I'm not sure why though. I prefer it to be a bit on the cooler side, my favorite season is Fall. I prefer to dress in layers, and find it's easier to get warm then it is to get cool - you can only take off so much clothing before it becomes indecent!

Living in San Diego, there's only slight weather changes compared many places, so I don't get extreme cold or hot, the mild, temperate climate suits me well, except when we get those hot Santa Ana winds - those I could do without!

I run cold, meaning I'm often cold when others are comfortable. But I don't do well when it's very hot either. My ideal outdoor temp is about 75 degrees.

ah, Lori you are in the most temperate city! I tend to acclimate to where I am. Here in FL I get used to mid to high 80's as comfortable and then go back to Tahoe and FREEZE. Conversely, after a year or so in Tahoe and running around with just a sweatshirt or light jacket for most 30-40 degree days, I come to FL and die when it hits 85. Luckily, after pulling this stunt on my body 4 times now, I know I will eventually get used to the weather again and be okay. So, I guess if anything I run hot, but mostly I am a self adjusting micro-climate lol.

I'm happiest when it's around 60-75 degrees F and DRY. I detest humidity. I also detest snow and below freezing temps. I grew up in southern California though which is probably why.

That said, I think I tend to run warm. Not sure if this is just b/c I tend to be generally active ( like walking around and stuff when outside) so I get warm though. I do get cold sitting around in over-AC-Ed conference rooms and stuff.

I like everything 60s-80s and bright blue sky... growing up in Santa Barbara I thought this was pretty much normal, year round. Boy did I have a lot to learn! When we moved to Pittsburgh I discovered that very special hell which is 90 degree temperature + 90 percent humidity + a gray sky utterly devoid of sunshine. Now that we go cross country skiing in Oregon each winter I have come to appreciate 20s-30s as prime ski conditions, but I don't have to live in that. Still don't like the teens or the hundreds! I shelter inside at both extremes. L

Hey Thimbelina--I used to live in Santa Barbara. It's a great place for gardeners--no freezes and rarely gets too hot.

I like 75 to 85 if the humidity is low. I do feel the cold more as I get older. More layers and a space heater on the floor next to my computer to keep my feet warm. On the other hand, I have a lower tolerance for being too warm.

Definitely cold! That's part of why I like living in AZ. We keep our house at 80 during the summer

I usually feel a chill until the end of June - at which point I finally put away my leather jackets. My guy is the total opposite - which means we have winter/summer heat/ac battles.

I run hot. My honey says it's like sleeping next to a hot water heater.

I can't say I love being cold, either, but at least you can throw on an extra layer or sit by the fire. If it's blazing hot out, and your house is all hot on the inside, it's not like you can take off your skin.

I don't run hot or cold, but I am a total warm weather woman! (How's that for alliteration?!) Seriously, I wish it was only cold the week of Christmas.

DH and I are feeling both cold and heat more as we get older, especially if either come with high humidity or wind. I like it somewhere in the 50-80F range best. I like to be able to wear a light jacket or at least long sleeves.

Una, there was a sandal epidemic in Seattle last week because the sun came out and it reached a high of 55 degrees. This is very typical. (I was in socks and boots).

I run extremely cold. I am always, always layered up when others are not. I love hot weather, but not humid weather. 85 to 90 degrees is fine by me. But I also like snowy, SUNNY Winters. We need to move to the East Coast because Greg and I love the weather there. We *must* live in a 4 season climate. I love how the weather changes with the seasons best.

I freeze all the time! It must be at least sunny and 75 or above before I warm up. Humidity doesn't really bug me too much...I like heat.
My house is also 80 -82 degrees in the summer too..I dislike cold air blowing on me in the house, buildings and especially the car!

I'm a bit of an oddity! I run cold but I prefer cold weather! When it's hot and or humid my asthma plays up so I'm much happier in the dead of winter, I wear lots of layers to keep warm. I find it so much easier to warm up in winter than to cool down in summer x

Louise I am exactly the same. People are always saying at work that I am running at different temp from everyone else because I am all rugged up in Summer. Everyone was in short sleeves the other day and I was wearing a jacket. Someone said "dont worry about Sally, she's a bit odd that way.
But I like cold weather because like others have said, it is easier to put more clothes on when it is cold. I also love coats and jackets......and all winter clothes.

I run cold for sure. I tolerate warmer temperatures better than cold. I never knew that until we moved to Maine. Sometimes in the winter, I cannot get warm no matter how many layers I put on. The hot weather isn't as bad to me because a little water and I cool off, plus there's A/C.

Una this is one of my biggest pet peeves! They do it in AK and they do it here in MN too. People get so excited about "spring like" weather and go overboard. I remember a few weeks ago i saw a lady pushing a baby stroller and the baby was barefoot and my car say 35 degrees!!! Not ok.

But anyways, I might run a little cold? But not too bad. I don't get bare legged until 60 and even then it's usually not much leg or leg with nude fishnets or something.

I can't stand for my house to be cold. I love a nice 78 degree day. I"m even good into the 80's but after that I start whining again.
funny, even on a warm day, I won't pull out summer wear until it's been consistently warm for about a month.... not because I don't want to jump the gun, but because I haven't truly thawed from the winter yet.
a few weeks ago we had a warm spell and took the electric blanket off he bed... then I started freezing again. oh well....

I feel best when its in the upper 70's to mid 80's...especially if there is a breeze. Unfortunately both DH and Biscuit need it much colder (65-72) and I sit *ALL* summer long under a blanket with the A/C blasting near constant sinus problems from it too.....here in Mn we have SUCH a long winter (which I hate) and yet when summer comes Im still under a blanket- aarrggh! I'd love to sit in our gazebo during the day while DH is at work, but B cant handle the heat and cries if I go outside
