Mine is the opposite of krishnidoux - I need to shop 'in store' more often, because I am not the best at actually returning things that don't work out, and I'm also (apparently) not so good at picking out good stuff online all the time.
I will continue to get basics online, but I am not going to chance things like jackets and so on.
Generally - no, I haven't usually set any kind of New Year's resolution around clothes shopping - though this year, it's important for me to be much more mindful and considered about what I'm buying instead of just buying up stuff randomly. I guess that's a goal? Even if it's not fully formulated/fleshed out yet.
btw - krishnidoux - I called my Mom in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago when someone posted about the Land's End sale, and I discovered that the sale was extended to Canadian orders AND there was free shipping to Canada. She ordered nine items for less than $200 (including duty, which was actually added to her Land's End order at time or ordering), and she phoned me today to say that 8 of the 9 items she ordered were perfect. There was one white top that was a bit more sheer than she was expecting, but that's easily fixed with a layer underneath. This was a really good deal for my Mom - she wears plus sizes, and it's *tough* to find good plus size options in her area. In the meantime, Target will be opening their stores in Canada soon, and I'm hearing rumours of J. Crew and Nordstrom opening up as well. That said though - the price discrepancies are kind of ....annoying to say the least, especially with the dollar at par, or higher than the USD.
