Do you machine wash your BR Martin pants?

The label on my new pants says Dry Clean only- how do you care for your pants?

If you do dry clean them- how often would you do so?

maya has had great success handwashing the pants. so no expensive dry cleaning.

Is anyone else handwashing them? I totally trust Maya's experience, but I remember when we talked about washing Sweet Pea tops and people said theirs ran and bled, whereas I've never had that happen with any Sweet Pea. So washing appears to be somewhat idiosyncratic...

It's been too hot to wear my Martins yet, but I plan to hand or gentle wash in cold and hang to dry. I believe at least one of the comments on them on the BR website says that they washed successfully.

I am impatient and couldn't wait so did a bit of googling about fabric types and decided to chance it by using the handwash cycle on the machine with Wool wash.

It seemed to work fine- the pants look the same as when I put them in- I don't think they shrank at all (which is a little disappointing as I'll have to get them hemmed!)

I use the delicates cycle on our machine. Works just fine.
