So, we have this shop called Smoking Lily that sells locally made women's clothing and home accessories. It was started in Victoria, over on Vancouver Island, about ten or fifteen years ago, and back then they sold pretty much just basic tee shirts with interesting things printed on them. They have evolved over the years, and several years ago added a Vancouver shop too, and I love it so much that I keep returning over and over. It now seems that half my wardrobe comes from there. They cater to exactly my demographic (30-something women who no longer want to dress like teenagers but like arty, stylish, figure-flattering things) and almost everything suits my taste. The fun, quirky prints are still right up my alley (a lot of them are nature- and science-inspired), although many of the items I've bought from them over the years are not printed. Their stuff is reasonably priced and well-made. In particular, I have several of their Hester skirts, and it's my go-to skirt for all seasons. I just got a new one -- black and white stripe! (How cute is that?):
