Do you have any go-to shoes for rainy/stormy days?

It's storming tonight and likely all day tomorrow. It doesn't rain a lot here but when it does, it seems like it always pours. I always struggle with what footwear to wear those days.

I don't think I want to do the rain boot/change shoes route. I'd rather have a pair of casual shoes that can take the rain and I can build an outfit around.

Do you have any go-to rainy day shoes?

Sadly, I do not. I wish I did because my rain boots, while cute, are also very heavy and very warm (they are fleece lined and I sometimes use them as snow boots) so they are pretty uncomfortable in the summer!
Sometimes when it is not raining too hard or if it's not raining but there are puddles I'll just wear my platform sandals, which are high enough off the ground to keep my feet dry. Doesn't work if it's really coming down though.

Not for summer, but in cooler seasons I have a pair of rather inexpensive leather boots that I treated with water proofing spray that I wear for puddlesome days.

I had a pair of great looking rubber ballet slippers that I used for years. They were navy blue. I just bought a pair to replace them and they arrived yesterday, coincidentally. I love them already, they are super comfortable, waterproof and breathe :

Years ago, I bought a fab pair of aquatalia leather wedges, but those are just too warm for me in the Summer and too high .

since it pours quite often where I live, I usually wear my walking shoes(or sandals to be exact). The bottom is rubber and they have elastic straps so they dry quite quickly. I loved the idea of Crocs and just tried something simular to what Isabel posted the other day but they didn't quite fit right(as I am cursed with narrow feet and the back is always loose

I had pull-on rain boots for a while but last winter the little loop in the back ripped off and now they're impossible to get on. :/ I'm keeping my eyes open for another pair. I like the idea of the cutesy rainboots in prints and such but I'd rather have an incognito pair I could wear with regular clothes. It doesn't rain hardly ever here in the warm months so I don't have a summer rain option.

I don't own a pair of rain boots. I just wear my normal leather boots, but then I'm usually not walking through the rain for hours. If I were, I'd probably suck it up and wear gear, aka hiking boots.

I just wear a normal pair of pleather boots, either motorcycle boots from Target or short riding boots from Kohl's. No rain boots for me!

I have been using Crocs Primas (the basic ballerina style; mine are chocolate, which is actually a dark taupe) for the last 4 years in the monsoonal, wade-to-work-daily weather we get. And I intend to duplicate or update at some point.

I do have a pair of pink Wellies too, but in our crowded public transport, I'm not a fan of the excess baggage of extra 'good' shoes. So I reserve those for non-work days. Love them.

During the summer months when it's hot and humid, I wear Dansko platforms such as the Rowena I'm wearing today:

I have this pair in black and in Crazy Horse, which is a blend of brown and green that looks different depending on the lighting.

This type of shoe does a great job of keeping my toes above the puddles, lol! Also, it's a stable shoe, so I don't feel like I'm going to slip or re-injure my ankle.

I have my hunter white pearlescent rain boots that Jsloane was able to score for me. Best purchase ever! The color works in summer too!

I'm a rain boot girl myself. Nothing else keeps my feet totally dry. In the summer it tends not to pour rain all day, but if it's a bit wet I might wear Converse because I know a bit of water won't ruin them. But I don't wear them if it's torrential. I certainly don't wear my good leather shoes in the wet. I'd rather wear rubber boots and not worry about it than wear leather ones and worry all day about stepping in puddles!

Well, I'm having thoughts on buying a pair of cheap yet comfy sandals for summer rain. I saw a pair that were quite comfy for 10 euros and one day I think I'll buy them. They are 'pleather', of course, but what do you want for such a low price.

All this worrying came after I almost ruined my favourite pair of sandals in the rain a week ago. It seems they are back to looking ok now, but I would have cried were they ruined completely. i don't think I'm finding shoes like those any soon!

My official rain shoes/boots for work are Sigerson Morrison. Although, maybe I've given away the boots now. And water gets into flats no matter what, I have to say.

Truth be told, I will also wear my wellies to work too and just keep them on all day. That doesn't bother me.

I'll wear my Aquatalias in the winter, but I don't have any good summer options other than grit tin my teeth and wearing my rattiest flats.

How in the world do you people drive in wellies?

Yeh, I normally go to Macy's when its raining and get a cheap pair of walking boots, keeps the water out and much less likely to slip. This is normally in the spring months when it rains so I dont often need wet shoes. Here is where I bought them from:
