Do you have a list of things you "need' for fall?

I'm not shopping NAS (sniff, sniff) this year but all the talk about it has me thinking fall. Fall is my faaaaaaaaaaaavorite time of year to dress! I keep a little list on my phone to remind me of things i want to add to my wardrobe for the upcoming seasons or just in general.

Here's my list thus far:

Black wedge ankle boots (perferably not in suede but if it comes to that i can be persuaded..ha..unintentional pun.)
Black combat boots

Faux leather leggings
BDG High waisted red jeans

The perfect red boyfriend cardi
a cropped fair isle sweater (NAS you are to blame for this one.)
leopard print belt
more textured tights
suspender tights!
faux fur fox tail

Possible wish list things:
Faux leather or real leather shorts
Jeffrey Campbell Tardy Platform Boot in Red -- this would be my big splurge for fall/winter but i looove these so i might save up.

I started a list last year when I changed over my seasonal clothes: skinny jeans for tucking into boots, white fitted blouse, black ballet flats, red patent ballet flats. Really basic stuff, but would add so much to what I have now!

I have had a running list all year and as I've ticked off the warm weather items I am left with fall/winter goodies. I have $500 in the budget from Sept through year's end to buy:

Drapey leather jacket
Gray boots/booties
Cashmere wrap dress
Custo Barcelona red long slv top
Red cashmere scarf
Corduroy cigarette pants in gray or purple
Fine gauge knit sweater(s)

Obviously my wants are more than my budget, unless I find some real deals. I'll likely not get both the jacket and the cashmere dress but hope to get one or the other!

I'm thinking of treating myself to a Theory suit. I really need jackets/blazers. And I'd like a shearling or fur-trimmed vest...and more boots....although I don't really NEED any of these.

Right now I'm trying to make sure that my NAS purchases have what they need to get the most of them. So far that's:

Tights, maybe textured, so I can wear my Frye back lace booties with skirts
A brown or tan jacket/coat of some sort to bookend the boots
Color coded camisoles to work with two sheer floral blouses
Charcoal grey, preferably tweed or flannel, slacks. I looked for those last year, too, and this year I'm double determined to find them!

More slim fit long sleeve T's for underlayering in new colors. A new cardigan or two. I have some new boots and shoes I scored at Zappos at end of season, so I can stay out of the shoe department this fall!

The things I need most would be:

# a FAB winter coat
# some new warm sweaters or cardigans
# more tights
# a new "gear" bag for Uni (fab, big enough and waterproof!)
# a pair of skinny jeans

Things I would like to have:

# ankle booties to wear with my skirts
# a dress for fall/winter
# one or two new skirts for low temperatures

I have to see what I will be able to afford with my budget.

I don't have a shopping list. But I am ALWAYS looking for knitwear that does not itch, is covered, and keeps me warm. And winter dresses with sleeves.

My boots need some sorting out. I'd like to have my heeled pair altered and then I'm still searching for a pair of classic flat riding boots (I loved the ones highlighted at the sale but can't afford them this month). I also need a pair of flat dressy ankle boots for under pants, I spent all of last winter trying to find some.

I'm still on the hunt for the perfect cognac boots. I also am fresh out of leather jackets so I am hoping one or more of the five (!) I just ordered from the NAS will work out.

I had been needing a brown cardi for a very long time, and I am very happy with the Halogen girlfriend cardi in espresso. And I need a new purple skirt and managed to score the Halogen seamed skirt in purple magenta last night online in my size, though not petite. Hopefully that will work out.

Oh, and I need a dark brown bag.

Other than that, I'm pretty well set.

Holy handshakes, Nicole, those boots are HIGH! But fabulous. If you can walk in 'em, I vote splurge.

I don't have a lot on my list, except I need a new pair of very dark cigarette cut jeans. I managed to get a rip in the ones I have.

1-2 cardigans
1 skirt... either a gray pencil or something in corduroy
1-2 scarves
1 dress with sleeves
Gap Perfect Boot jeans in light wash for flats

I don't know if I'll be able to swing all of those things, but I'm going to work on it.

I need boots, as I didn't find any that worked for me last year and lived with the ones I had. I also would like some skinny jeans or skinny ponte pants. I'm still pondering what else should go on the list.

Ha, I *need* to sit on my hands for awhile.I just finally got summer sorted. I don't actually know what trends are on deck, but it would be great if I found properly fitting brown knee-high boots.

I've got a list that keep me looking for the right item, some I never found last year:
*A wool coat that isn't black or camel and is about 42 inches from shoulder to hem.
*A red blazer or jacket
*Grey leather riding boots that have a narrow calf
*Grey booties; brown booties Need low heels and rather low vamp if possible
*A sweaterdress or other winter dress with sleeves in cobalt, purple, or red
*Cobalt blue top
I'm also starting to search for a great Mother-of-the-groom dress for next August...something in a flattering color and style that will be comfortable in hot weather but has some coverage on top. I'm thinking midi length just below my knees.

I'm still figuring out what works or doesn't for my body, so my list is only two items for the moment: a coat (this is a real need) and a pair of bootcut jeans.

Basic necessities like undergarments, new pair of pants (hopefully not cords but warm and washable), button down shirt or blouse is of great interest, pearl studs but am not sure on that one, a few accessories for my coats for different occassions, always always wool sweaters, shoes and slippers and a great long wool turtleneck dress to wear as nightclothes.

Edit: one or two kilts - know I shouldn't wear one but I need to find out how to get away with it. One in family tartan and perhaps one in a solid to go with sweaters but not black due to cat and dog as I want it for daily loungewear.

Not necessarily needs, but I'm keeping my eye out for:

- a simple but distinctive pair of black leather pumps (not patent and not suede seems to be hard to find right now!)

- a new black leather belt about 2" wide with silver hardware to replace my favorite one which is wearing out

- a pair of narrow black trousers, not dressy, just an alternative to jeans. Most of my twill pants are now too big on me.

I'm stocked to the gills with bags and boots, just got great new jeans at NAS, and I found a fab new gray winter coat at the end of the season last year, so I'm in good shape for the fall. I will be keeping an eye out for one or two new sweaters -- I'm hoping some argyle will be around!

Hehe, Nicole, your splurge shoes remind me a bit of my Doc wedges! Must be a season for platform combat boots... I hope you get them and that they work perfectly for you.

I don't have too much on my list, and I'm already ticking some things off:
- cognac messenger bag to go with my dark coats (check)
- comfier black combat boots to walk in / higher-heeled boots for long jeans (check)
- citron scarf/hood/snood thingie
- warm hat that goes with my coats/jackets... that ones gonna be *hard* :T

I really need to organize and create a list (or a spreadsheet) so I stop randomly purchasing and returning.
I NEED:
2-3 pairs of dress pants for office (camel, navy, gray)
1 winter suit
refresh underwear, tights
Purse (I like to use one per season and last years died a miserable death)
I WANT:
Heeled loafers (curse you @MaryK - although I still have the NAS red patent ones in my shopping cart)
short boots to wear with skinnies and leans
A camel coat
A nice parka that isn't too short or too young or too poofy

Well I'm going into spring rather than fall so my list is a little different : )
- Sandals/flip flops which don't rub my feet (I've put up with sandals which have rubbed and given me blisters but I've decided enough is enough and there is no point getting shoes which hurt)
- Shorts (not too short though)
Probably have some wants aswell (e.g. some more skirts and more tee-shirts/tanks) but will try stick to what I need because I've already spent quite a lot on clothes this year.

I want/need the perfect pair of black booties to wear with skirts/dresses/pants. They need to be stylish yet comfortable, heel height not too high nor too low, leather not suede, well-made but not too expensive!

I'm moving to southern california, so I need to figure out how that changes my fall/winter wardrobe (where I am now it gets down to 10 F in the winter - brrr!).

My need/want list:
-more pants/bottoms options (I have a hard time shopping for pants, so I avoid it. I feel like I'm not good at finding ones that fit, or telling different pant shapes apart)
-belts! (a want, obviously)
-handbag in a bright color (rather than always wearing my black everyday bag).

My "needs" list is a new gray, wool coat. And some sort of footwear that is casual but fab that will work for everyday rainy seattle weather. These shoes will need to be 8 hour shoes (or boots)

My "wants" list is more fun! red jeans, heeled oxfords, a new boyfriend sweater to replace last year's that I wore into the ground.

My needs: a new pair of work-appropriate (12 hour) shoes, slip resistant.

My wants: Shearling aviator jacket; ultra-cool brown cross body bag, perhaps with a little fringing; more colored jeans; wedge booties; Karen Kane vest; Karen Kane pull on flare jeggings; gold pendant from NAS; a few more Hanky Pankys; a new light lift (push up) bra. Plus I am always on the look out for cool lounge wear since I spend a lot of time in it.

To-do: shorten a few more pair of jeans so they will be exclusively for work.

I probably don't need anything more for fall, but as I think about it, there are a few things that would be great to have:

Comfortable tall boots--brown or cognac better than black.

A couple of warm cardigans for chilly evenings.

I've just realized I do need a dressy cocktail dress or outfit. In the last few seasons it's been nearly impossible to find a dress that isn't too short, too low-cut, and in a fabric I like. (Wrap dresses don't work on my body.)

And that is it. Now about the Wants . . .
