Shevia and Windchime, I will keep the poncho, at least until next winter. It meets at lot of my "musts": looks nice, is comfy, not fussy, etc.
Windchime, I think I will use that criteria for next season: "Would I buy it now?"

I think it is not the item itself that is momentarily throwing you off, but maybe the rest of your clothes which, for the time being, do not match this particular style. It has a very nurturing, voluptuous side to it. I would see it with jeans - the type that is slightly tight on top and bootleg - cashmere turtleneck with long sleeves, bracelets, a long pendant to create a front vertical line, and hair done differently: maybe worn up. What do you think?

I say this having myself many items that I don't wear for the same reason. Personal style is always evolving.
