Do you ever watch dumb tv to look at the oufits? :)

Because i do lol. Actually i'm super guilty of this. My husband always makes fun of me. But i've also gotten a lot of good inspiration from it!

And while we're on the subject i'm currently obsessing over an outfit from the show, Pretty Little Liars (which, again, is not what i consider a good show, but the oufits are adorable to me.). The top was on sale for $40 @ Nordstrom's but is now sold out. So now i have my eyes open for printed shirts with sheer shoulder cut outs. I'm actually digging those pants/leggings too now and i never would of considered them before...

So yeah, anyone else do this on here? Or am I alone in my insanity?

I tried this once last week since I'm laid up and bad TV is part of the routine. I clicked on Bad Girls Club. Bad idea! They wear tanks and boyshorts or hooker dresses lol. Maybe I need to find different bad TV to peruse for ideas. I honestly catch myself eyeing what ladies in commercials are wearing, though.

I never really watched the show, but I liked a lot of the outfits on Lipstick Jungle, that cancelled Brooke Shields show.

hahaha Mo! No i don't think Bad Girls Club is a great place to get any kind of inspiration from. XD

I remember Lipstick Jungle! They were trying to say it was going to be the new Sex & The City when it first came out but...it....was not. I liked some of the funky chicks outfits...I have no idea who the actress is..I think she was asian? Or at least part asian? She had pretty eyes

I don't specifically watch bad TV shows, but I do see a lot of great outfits on characters on various shows, and I always wish there was a specific website you could go to to find out where to buy those items (or similar things.)

LOL, this reminds me of my cousin who got addicted to a soap opera. She started watching it for the wardrobe of one character.
I admit to now watching more carefully what older newswomen are wearing.

My favorite inspiration is old movies. Even if I don't copy those looks, I love the beauty and tailoring expertise from that era.

I admit to watching Real Housewives of Bev. Hills and the Kardashians and looking at their clothing although nothing's my style. They all wear extremely high heels. It's just fun to watch, even though the Kardashians are so fake and kind of boring. You just can't help yourself!

Malina -- Bad Girls Club LOL. I saw it once, and they go really skanky in that show. They constantly have to put patches over the crotch areas because their clothing is so show-all.

I don't-- I can't even reliably follow shows I enjoy. Actually, I tend to not watch anything at all until it is a season or two in and I can watch the repeats at my leisure! I'm horrible though. I have one show that I have watched reliably for a whole season (I love how some networks now put episodes online the week after so I can catch up when I inevitably miss it) but have only stuck with it because my best friend from when we were children (been friends for 17 years) who lives across the country loves it and watches religiously and we have something fun to talk about-- it is goofy, but at least an action-type show.

I really have a hard time drawing fashion inspiration for actresses that play teens or even young twenty-somethings (bad, because the second is my age group). The actresses body types are so different than mine, even when I was 16 and a size 2. Also, the lifestyles and the maturity levels of the characters seem to be reflected in the fashion. I guess it is like runway and print, an inspiration and a starting point only. Things like Gossip Girl and Twilight confound me.

I think the only character I watch is Cuddy on House--she's head of the hospital--too tight/too small/too loose/too low/too high-which is it tonight?? Her clothes are a character on their own sometimes.

The BF and I consistently review Jeapordy contestants' attire - it's usually not good! Patty, I agree Cuddy always has too tight/low cut especially for the job the character holds.

Also I just had to share this: while out shopping yesterday i found a pair of jeans that look pretty much exactly like the picture i posted! Total coincidence! I snatched 'em up! Happy!

i'm not ashamed to admit that i do watch a lot of bad tv...but not for the fashion. although i do love teenybopper fashion on tv...takes me back. i know i just can't wear it anymore though.

LOL! I check out any of the REAL HOUSEWIVES shows for how NOT to dress. The cleavage and overkill bling are absolutely blinding.

Talk about mindless entertainment. Great comic relief.

And what's real about it? Nothing! Especially the bolt-on cleavage......

I admit to watching Real Housewives of Orange County XD Talk about over kill. Between the clothes, hair and makeup...wow. I think there was actually an Oprah where she brought them all on the show and did a "make under" on them. One of them was like, "well this is nice, but way too conservative for the OC" -_-

I occasionally TIVO Gossip Girl and flick through it in 6 minutes the next day to see what the characters are wearing.

I will occasionally flip on the SOAP network to see what they are wearing...I don't have the patience to follow a story line ...but one soap diva has a Fab wardrobe!!

I dont watch tv but sometimes watch movies and get inspiration from what a character is reading. I prefer reality fashion shows like WNTW or Gok Wan- fashion fix it.

Count me as another who has the Real Housewives as a guilty viewing pleasure, but NOT for fashion inspiration. Although the New York and DC crews are definitely more subdued and sane, fashion wise.

Nope, don't watch bad TV at all. Though to me it makes sense that I enjoy every aspect of the shows that I do watch - story, characters, actors and the fabulous outfits of some of the fab female characters e.g.
the bold, colorful, OTT and always unique outfits and makeup of Penelope Garcia of Criminal Minds,
the gorgeous, gorgeous jackets and coats and outfits with strong, clean, simple lines of Kate Beckett in Castle,
the wonderfully quirky pieces of jewelry worn by Temperance Brennan, the absolutely crush worthy dresses worn by Camille Saroyan and the playful, chic outfits of Angela Montenegro in Bones.

OK..I'll cop to watching the train wreck that is the Real Housewives. However, I make sure to try to not let anyone catch me watching. The only fashion inspiration I've gleaned is what not to wear.
I've always wondered who does Rose's whimsical sweaters on Two and a Half Men. Love her quirky style.

I dont watch many shows, but I find myself checking out what the news anchors and reporters are wearing and it makes the commercials a bit more tolerable! Also, DH has different taste in movies than I do, so checking out the outfits makes it more fun for me!
