Uh...that would be a yes. Not only do "misplace" things, I find them in the most bizarre places and I do it in plain sight sometimes. Like the time I looked high and low for my new Boden dress. I looked for it in both our cars, our house, my mother's house, I blamed my husband for accidently giving it to the Salvation Army. Then one day, I pulled a black dress from my closet and it was the one from Boden. It had been hanging up the entire time. Then I had to look for the one that wasn't the one I thought it was when I pulled the Boden one out....ugh.
There is the necklace that I bought after Rae posted about it. It disappeared for six moths. Then one day this Winter, I went to put on my snow boots and the necklace was in the boot ! What ???!!!!!!!
But the best is that I lost a gold ring that I adored. I stopped wearing it while pregnant with my daughter ( 11 years ago ). I looked high and low. Then 7 years later I stick my hand in a coat pocket, at there it is. I am not kidding. I had been wearing the coat the entire time too.
Lately, my husband has been causing problems. My son is only 11 but is the same size as I am. My husband hung a couple of my long sleeve T shirts and the only sweatshirt I have in his closet. I looked everywhere for that freaking sweatshirt. Then on Monday, as I waited with my son for his music lesson, I noticed he had a sweatshirt very similar to mine. I asked where he got it. He told me that it was new from his father. I took a closer look and it was my sweatershirt !
And finally, one day I was looking for my eyeglasses everywhere. I couldn't leave the house because I can't drive without them. Then after about 90 mins, I realized that while I looked for them I could see really well. They were on my face. That still cracks me up to this day and it has been about 15 years since that happened. So you can see this has been going on a very long time for me.
And you thought this response would be short. : ) And if you want to ask this question again, I have more examples. LOL !
