do these proportions work?

Going, you guessed it, bowling. It's grey and raining so I felt like mimicking the weather.
Not sure once I put it on.

I'm not sure this is working for me Mo. I can't really even say which boot because it's the skirt with those tights and sweater throwing me off. I feel like the middle of the front skirt hem is too defined as a focal point.

Is that sweet doggie a permanent fixture on that bench? lol

I am not sure on this either, but put on a long necklace and think it helps?? I'm out of time at any rate.
the BF suggested I wear one of each boot to start a new trend. Funny guy huh?
EDIT: I could last minute try my wine or red Old Navy cardis over the black top and skirt

Yeah....I see what Tex sees. I would like it if the skirt didn't do that thin in the middle. With either boot, I think. But that middle seam is sort of throwing me off somehow.

Oh well, I'm too late... but I liked the tall boots. But overall, I liked the brighter sweaters for bowling. The all grey just seemed a little bit of a downer in the context. Although the addition of the necklace really perked it all up. But is a dangling necklace good for bowling?

Or is your bowling alley like ours? With a bar for the rest of us... hehe.

Stuffed as in taxidermy. Freeway was his name. Turned 18 in 2003. The tabby cat is very alive and in constant need of a lap or a hand to pet him.
It is 40 and pouring now as we arrived home. Guess I wore an orphan today, too - my trench. I wore it once in FL and once on a trip in N.O. This is the first time in Tahoe. It doesn't often rain here, though. It's a petite and I'm not certain it isn't too short on me in places.
Won't be repeating this black/grey outfit. I think the sweater needs to stay with pants, not skirts. Eh, live and learn.
