Do these mules fit?

I ordered these mules as an easy slip-on for summer, and I really like the way they look, but...do they fit?

One shoe is fine, but my other foot has a bump on top from an old injury, and it means I can’t push my foot as far in, leaving my heel just over the back of the shoe.

A size up doesn’t exist, but I’m pretty sure it would be too loose. Do you guys think that as the leather molds to my feet, it will mitigate the problem and my foot will slide in more? I’m a mule newbie.

Hard to say. They are on the edge, and I do think your foot will eventually push the front forward a bit if that makes sense. Are they comfortable? I think that is most important also aesthetically - when someone looks comfortable and natural walking around their shoes look right. Agree they look great in the pictures!

What Shevia said. They need to be comfortable enough to wear to allow them to stretch to fit you foot. They look great with your cardigan,

The feel is everything. If they are soft, they will likely stretch a bit. I like them on you!

I was thinking that mules will probably be more comfortable than forcing your fit into a regular shoe or something with a sling back

I feel a little worried they are not quite big enough. I am not a great mule wearer myself, still only have the one pair. Did some contortions to get pics- I see one foot is bigger than the other here too, but they both have more room than either foot of yours. Comfort is everything though?

Both feet look a little short, to my eye. They might stretch if the leather is very soft. I like the vibe for your style. Quite elegant.

I'm not reading other replies yet as a test of my own eye ....but to me , they look a little short on both feet, not just on your injured one. And as an avowed mule wearer, and owner of many pair, I say don't buy any that don't feel 100% from the get-go.

I checked the site, and they suggest ordering a half size up. I can’t do that, since I wear a 10. I think they’re going back. They are soft and don’t hurt my feet, but they do put weird pressure on my knees and they squeak. That’s too many things. I’m disappointed, because this is a brand I wanted to support. Has anyone seen anything with a similar vibe? I might try the Everlane ones, but they have a covered heel that I’m not in love with.

Yes, I agree a little short, and seem a bit narrow too. They could rub your heel and be uncomfortable. I like them otherwise though, so size up if possible to compare.

Check Style Bee's blog for ideas - she wears mules you'd like and I can't remember brand names at the moment. Lucky Brand, Sam Edelman, are two I can think of that make mules that look like what you've posted above..

That’s a great idea, Lisa! She does wear a lot of that type of shoe. Her blog looks like it’s down for renovations, but I’ll do some Instagram stalking.
