Do T strap shoes make you look shorter?

I am looking to pick up a pair of T Strap shoes by Born. I have never tried this style as I am mostly a Mary Jane girl. Will this style cut off my leg line? I don't want to be stuck wearing black tights to wear these.

These are adorable! I have never thought that this style makes your leg look shorter. I would try them on with skirts, if you like the way they look, wear and enjoy!

I think they do make your leg look shorter as they shorten the leg line. By putting the strap at the ankle it stops that eye there versus further down.

That being said, not all fashion choices have to maximize leg length and those shoes look really fun.

They won't shorten them any more than Mary Janes. It is the cross strap that cuts the leg. If you wear them with toned tights the effect will be diminished.

They look as if they suit your style persona. Very fun!

I don't see how they would affect your leg line any differently than a mary jane as they both have cross straps. They're super cute and would be fun to wear.

Yes, I think that they shorten the leg-line - but its just a matter if you really care about that or not!

I do kind of care about looking short but I am short.....so..well.....there's that. I like the shoes!!!

I pulled the trigger and I am sure they will get put in rotation. Price was good as Born is an awesome brand and super comfy.

I think they'd shorten less than a mary jane --- the cross-strap is offset by the vertical line of the T-strap.

Don't know about leg length. As a big-footed girl I was always told that they lengthen the look of the foot and, sadly, it seems to be true.
So at least they will make your legs-plus feet look longer.
Anyway, they are adorable, so I'm glad you're getting them.
