Do NYDJ jeans stretch?

I have now tried 2 different NYDJ styles and both seem really stretchy and are quite clingy on my sold thighs. I know a few Fabbers have them - do they stretch a bit or are they just not right for me....

I own one pair of NYDJ jeans and three pairs of their shorts. I find that they stretch considerably. I notice that the Nordstrom website states on most NYDJ jeans: "will stretch with wear, order one size down". I have usually ordered my standard size to better accommodate my curves. I made the mistake of sizing up on one pair of shorts -- it is very baggy after one wear. You may want to check the fiber content of your particular pair. Mine have, if I recall correctly, 2% spandex (elastane).

I have the same experience with NYDJ as El Cee. I also got my regular size in the cropped jeans below and they do stretch quite a bit - nothing unflattering though (but I too didn't want to size down because the jeans might have been too tight in the thigh area).

I only have one nydj jeans in my closet but I wear it at home or when going to play ground with kiddo. They stretched a lot. Too baggy on me after few wears.

I was a little bummed because that was my first experience and now I am very hesitant to go back to this brand. But they are super comfy ( lol because they are big)

I like NYJD and have 2 pairs. I sized down in one pair and they always feel snug-not uncomfortably so, but I wouldn't lounge in them. The other is my normal size and they do stretch out a bit, but it's not too bad and this makes them a go-to, especially days I'm feeling bloated. I always wash the larger size each time to get them back in shape, otherwise they do look saggy.

I have several pairs of NYDJ pants. Some stretch, some don't. It depends on the fabric they're made of.

Mine do, thank goodness! I count on them stretching a bit, though.

Mmmm... they are very expensive so I guess if I have doubts when trying them on its a bad sign.
Inge, yes they are very clingy on my chunky thighs.

Yes. I've had several pair and quite like them for when I need to be reigned-in so to speak ....which is the whole point of this brand, and hence the use of stretch fibres. I find them very comfortable to wear, and nice and soft.

i have the gray jeans and yes, they stretch. i can only wear once and they need to be washed. i should have sized down.

Mine stretch but not a crazy amount. I can wear them several times before washing. They mainly just stretch where I need it -- butt and thighs. The ones I wear the most are 91% Cotton, 7% Polyester, 2% Spandex and 80% Cotton, 19% Polyester, 1% Spandex. I think less spandex means less bagging out, but there could be other factors in play.

I have a couple of pair but I sized down and it worked for me. They stretch a bit but I can get 3 wears out of them before washing.
