Do I toss a coin? - Green or Navy?

Trying on things last night & I came across a gorgeous pencil skirt. First I tried the Green & I still love it, then the SA came out with the same skirt in Navy.

I prefer the green but it would predominantly be worn to work (PA to a Financial Planner) so I keep thinking that the navy is more appropriate.

I really am torn. I considered getting both but I am worried one of them just won't get worn.

Thoughts, tips on choosing or sympathy all readily accepted.

PS. Nil pics available online & I didn't take any when I was in the change room.

I vote get the green. It's still a classic skirt but with a twist because of the color. For the navy, I'd watch for a great navy skirt suit so that there would be a navy pencil skirt to wear many ways and a navy blazer/jacket to also wear many ways; and you would have a suit when one is needed.

Is it an unusual green that will be hard to pair with what's already in your closet?

One good tip from the Parisian Chic book is to ask yourself, "If I buy this, will I wear it tonight?" Meaning, do you have pieces in your closet to pair it with? Is it such a specialty item that you feel you can only wear it for a special occasion? If you can see it as a wardrobe workhorse, then buy it. However, if it's just the green color you are drawn to, then get the navy and buy a scarf or other accessory (A purse would be fun!) in that same green color.

If you do choose to buy it in green, then do not leave the store without buying at least one top that goes well with it. (I think I remember a post of Angie's somewhere touting that advice.)
