Darn online browsing!! Found these on line tonight.

#1 is from Target's 'Limited Editions" range which I am rather fond off:)

and

#2 also Target comes in black or blue. I like the blue.

This is what happens when Im in the market for a job change... I start thinking about what I MIGHT need lol.

Sooooo tempted!

I think I might be popping in for a try on tomorrow.

But I have to ask! What is the issue with producing long sleeve dresses for winter. #1 would be so fab with lovely long sleeves!

Yes! Yes, you do! Especially when they look this tasty!

#2 would look great with long sleeves, too- sleeves would give it a1950s influence! Check out Joan Holloway/Christina Hendricks below!

I agree . I love number 1 for you and can see it fitting in well with your wardrobe. It seems more structured asymetrical rather than the drapey style of your other dresses so in that way it is different. Just helping to justify......

Hi Deborah, I tried the first one on in Target today coincidentally! It looked amazing from the waist up, but sadly was too big on me in the hip area and a little long on my petite frame.
It's a very stylish dress I have to say. I've never actually bought anything from Target before so not sure how the sizing of this dress compares to their other stuff. The other thing I'll mention is that the small horizontal zipper at the waist is an 'exposed' zipper, which I'm not a fan of, but otherwise it was very nice, too bad it didn't fit. Hopefully you have better luck.
I didn't see the blue dress at my local Target but that one looks really nice too.

Hmm that first one could be winterized by layering something silky beneath and/or a warm jacket over the top. If it's actual winter fabrication but you like it best sleeveless, then that's something to keep in mind. Sometimes those great lines get lost with layering. Just trying to be the voice of reason here

(But seriously, that first dress seems so very you!)

Yes I don't get the whole thing without sleeves. Unless it is assumed that women will layer over them... ?

Well -- I "hate" to encourage bad habits but if that black dress fits as well as it looks that is a keeper. The blue one -- meh. It doesn't say "Deborah" to me in the way the black dress does.

Yes. You need a blue dress. In fact, you need them both if they fit well.

I think you need that zipper dress. No sleeves works for me even in winter so I can add and remove a cardi as my personal heater indicates.

I love #1. It doesn't matter if you "need" it or not - you should get it. I love the zipper detail. I'm surprised you like #2 in blue since I thought your two colors were black and oh yeah, black.

elishbah, thanks for the feedback. I wonder if I will have the same problem as you? That is the trouble with dresses and m figure. If they fit my bust, they are often too big on my hips:(
