My list wasn’t big, but nothing that I really want has come back in stock.
I’m less enthralled with the backpack now, even though it’s in stock
The snakeskin pajamas and tie-dye joggers were the top of my list.
I did find some silk scrunchies at Costco of all places, though the packaging was beyond overkill

The most important thing is NOT to stress about it. If you're having fun with the stalk - go for it. If not, leave it until you feel like looking again. Or just walk away.....

I keep looking at my wishlist, and a couple things came back and I didn’t order them. One thing that came back was a mattress pad that’s supposed to feel cool, and I did order it. It’s been so hot here I can’t wait to try it.

I think you just have to look at it as you’re being appropriately picky.
I sometimes forget how important it is to wait for and budget for unexpected things that will turn up later and not fit into categories of sale items, wish list, sensible etc but are truly fun and exciting for wardrobe.

I think I like stalking items a little too much! My stalking has been 100% successful at NAS in previous years...this year may be different, but I’m not giving up yet - I’m stalking the PJs, too.

I would keep watching. With COVID, things are probably taking longer to ship, and a lot of people will probably be returning things in the mail, which means they will take a while to come back in stock. Keeping fingers crossed for you!

I’m hoping a lot of things will be restocked when the sale opens to everyone, as has happened in the past. It might be different this year, though; time will tell.

Those tie-dye joggers are really fun! If they don’t get restocked, you could try tie-dying a pair yourself. I would never suggest this, except a friend recently was talking about things she’s tie-dyed and how easy it was.

Some items I ordered on the 10th still haven’t shipped. And returns are quarantined for something like 72 hours so restocks will take forever show up. But somehow, the lingerie wash showed up briefly today — and it wasn’t like it didn’t fit folks.

But no point in buying just to be buying. Maybe it’s the year to invest in photography related do-dads.

I've ordered three bras and a pair of shorts for one of my kids. I enjoy the stalking, so not giving up yet, but I completely understand making a different choice if you're not that thrilled with the items. Like you, most of the items I want are in the cosy/comfy or gear category, so if I don't get them at NAS, I can certainly find the same or similar elsewhere, and probably on sale.

It's a frustrating year to try to shop the sale. I had a modest list, too, and it made me realize that I could buy similar things elsewhere, or later on, when regular stock arrives. Nordstrom and other retailers may not be receiving stock at the same levels as in the past, but they will be getting in new items. And then there's always the experience of the last few years with NAS, in which things that were part of the sale ended up marked down further within weeks of NAS. But for items you really want now, I'd look elsewhere.

Back to say, I didn't mean to be so negative. I was pretty frustrated with NAS before the pandemic! Others' suggestions that items may come back in stock for the general sale are good ones. And your two top picks are cute--worth waiting a bit to see if they do come back.

Is there a reminder feature that triggers an email when an item comes back in stock? Or are you just checking back every few days?
I also waited for the sale to buy clothes in order to support Nordstrom, however everything I wanted to buy is sold out so I may buy it elsewhere after all. Such a shame!

If you use the phone (/tablet?) app there's an option to notify you when something comes back into stock. I don't think there's any way to get notified via email for the desktop version, as far as I know.

I'm in the same boat. Still checking about once a day, but really separating myself from caring. I don't have much eagerness left to hope things come back in stock.

I’m at the Ambassador level and was able to shop NAS on August 7 and items were already sold out then.

My stylist has been told that items will be replenished but stock was slow to come in.

She said she was embarrassed with some clients because there was either nothing in their size or items they were interested in were sold out.
I also noticed while in the store that items were not being held after being tried on. I asked & was told that since COVID did not live on textiles, it was not being done anymore. I don’t know if returns are held for 72hrs as Donna F said, didn’t ask.

A study in May found that viable virus particles could not be obtained from cotton clothing *after four days.*
Not sure what if any later research has reported.

Sold-out items on my wishlist did not replenish this morning when full access went live. In the end, I purchased one bra. Oh well.

Everything on my wishlist is sold out today. I don't believe it will be replenished. I don't intend to bother stalking. Thank goodness I did not invest a lot emotionally in this year's NAS. I could have been terribly disappointed.

What Sharan said. I was bummed that there wasn't a good henley in the sale that was still in stock on the first day of the sale. And then I walked into Eddie Bauer, where I never shop, and scored two super-soft henleys for a whopping $10 each. They're not the cutting edge of fashion, but they'll be comfy and cute while we're camping.

I'm still eyeing the Sperrys, but then I found an even cuter pair at DSW -- $20 more, but I like the more distinctive herringbone material. The hype around NAS always makes me temporarily forget that other retail outlets exist.

Actually, a lot of items were restocked today.

The Nordstrom fulfillment center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa lost power because of Derecho and I don’t know if it’s been restored. Terrible devastation to that area..So orders have to be restored, shipments will be slow, etc.

I wanted to add that all my orders for shoes and for Vince items have been drop shipped from the manufacturers instead of Nordstroms. I’ve noticed Nordstrom’s has been doing more frequently. I don’t know if it’s because items have sold out or it’s just a business practice.

Thank you, @Jorja, for that update about the fulfillment center. I was wondering why the order I placed on August 10 still shows as 'getting ready'. The Derecho occurred on August 10 and must have taken the fulfillment center off line.

The storm was devastating and many were still out of power a week later. I have family near by, thankfully, they were not affected. Makes my new jeans seem very insignificant in the scheme of things... ;(

Almost everything on my list was sold out by the time the sale opened to my level on the 13th.
I'm not stalking anything. At first I was disappointed, but now I see it as a good thing: I wasn't really in love with any of the items and it's better to not buy something I don't love just because it's on sale.

I love the sale but agree with others that things get restocked, and that it's often better to wait on some items. I would expect the restocking to go slowly this year, with some items coming back into stock after the sale ends due to returns. That's good for me, as there are items I definitely want (esp for my home) but can't have yet since I won't be moving for 1.5-2 months at least.

It's a shame that all the stuff you loved went out of stock, though! Don't stalk it if you will be stressed by that. Or let it all hang out on your wish list and check back in a month to see how things shook out.

I'm keeping nothing that I ordered from the sale. I don't keep much of what I order from Nordstrom in general.
