Do I have to cover my toes sticking out of my legcast

Newly fitted with a full leg cast and wondering if I need to cover my toes with a sock. I have a good pedicure and new enamel job so toes look nice, but everyone looks at them. Sock not comfortable because my foot perspires in the cast and feels warm,; am wondering if I should cover them up. I will be in cast for 12 weeks.

Sock only of your toes are cold!

I agree with Runcarla, only cover your toes if they are cold.

I like both of your suggestions, but I can't understand why everyone stares at my toes when they look at my cast. I confess that I do wiggle them when a cute guy is looking my way, but that is not often.

I think you are uncomfortable enough with a cast, I would do what is comfortable with the foot. I would beg favours from friends to paint my toe nails in bright bold and crazy colours when your current pedicure fades.

You may want to cover your toes if only to keep them and your cleaner. Not sure if you can get your cast wet, so cleaning your feet might be a problem. I was in a cast for 21 days several years ago in winter and I covered my toes for warmth but also to keep them dry as there was a lot of icy slush to deal with (and I was on crutches,.....UGH). That was my only caveat too... Feet will get dirty...
