Do Frye Boots ever go on sale?

I am looking forward to Winter weather and thinking about increasing my boot wardrobe as it currently stands at 1 pair.

Was checking out some Frye Boots - mainly the Melissa Button and the Veronica Slouch. I really do want a pair of grey boots but also wouldnt mind some in Cognac. I really like these boots but the price seems a bit steep, maybe I am looking in the wrong places and someone can point me in the direction of some bargains or when the sales are in the US for Boots?

Yep. I found good bargains from late March last year and the best bargains around the beginning of June but I'm a size 5.5-6 and they don't tend to sell out as fast as popular sizes.

I usually buy NWT on Ebay if possible. I've gotten Fryes for under $60 on Ebay before

Amazon has the cheapest boot shipping to Australia (the actual cost of postage via USPS is around $45 so expect to pay that on Ebay).

They go on sale at http://www.6pm.com fairly often but limited range/sizes and you have to use a mail forwarding service as there's no international shipping.

I've also bought at http://www.heels.com who have international shopping and their boots do go on sale (around March- April) but they usually only have 1 or 2 sizes left by the time they put boots on sale. I got lucky and got my Veronica Slouches from here for $170 + shipping.

Almost all of their styles go on sale in Spring. I got mine around $100-150 a pair at amazon.com. Some styles also go on sale at Nordstrom Rack.

Sadly, they're never on sale in the color/size/style I need:D

But they definitely go on sale. eBay can be a good resource as well as lots of shoe websites like shoes.com, Piperlime, 6pm, and Endless. If you get on their email lists, you'll get first notice of sales.

They definitely go on sale, but you need to keep checking and sometimes that's hard.

You can put things in your cart at endless.com, 6pm.com, and amazon.com and periodically check the contents of your cart. 6pm.com prices can change daily! as can amazon.com. endless.com will often have one or two colors much cheaper than other colors.

nordstrom.com will usually match a sale price, if you ask through their live chat.

nordstrom.com has even matched 6pm.com when color/size isn't identical - that's how I got Veronica Slouch in brown calf shine for $132

sometimes a more obscure site will clearance out a certain style and the price gets pretty low. That's a good time to check on price matching -- if nordstrom ships internationally.

They're on sale on 6pm.com right now, I believe. I bought some Cindy's at 46% off the last time they were on there.

Yes! They are lowest on 6 PM.com, but I've seen various Frye boots for sale slightly higher (in the $200's range) on Endless/Amazon and Zappos recently.

Oh yes! I got my Frye Rorys for $123.00 at endless approximately 1 month ago! (And I LOVE them.)

Looks like you'll be in luck this spring. Although I have never seen the Melissa Buttons on sale in the colors I like. Those seem to be a hot commodity!

puffenstuff - what size and color are you looking for in the Melissa buttons?

You mentioned grey, but I think that's only Veronica Slouch, right?

FWIW, in both these boots I did not go 1/2 a size down. I got my usual 8.5. The Veronicas because I wanted a boot with some wiggle room with hosiery, or for wearing regular socks. The Melissa because I have a slightly wide foot and I felt like I needed it (these I wear with hosiery or a light sock).

P.S. Do you all keep seeing the Frye boot Nextag ad up in the corner? Clever cookies? or content based?

Sara I would be looking at 7.5 or 8 in the Tan in the Melissa. I actually really like these Melissa braid too. I've gone off the Veronica now. had a look at a few pics and not sure about the slouchiness or overall look of them.

I've been checking out the Frye Jane in Taupe and also the Steve Madden Intyce in grey. I think that might be the subject of another post though there are too many to decide on!

Usually some Frye's are on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I've also seen Frye's on sale at 6pm. Good luck sale shopping!

The ladies have it right! I don't think I'd own any if not for the sales! They also have a lot on Ebay, and since they wear like iron, most are in very good condition.
