Do all booties make your feet look big?

I ordered a pair online that I thought were cute... until I put them on. They fit perfect and are comfortable, but there is an extra 1.5-2 inches of space in front of my toe and all I can think of when I put them on is witches feet. Is it because they have a square toe, or are booties just not for me? You all look cute when you wear them. Maybe they are just too outside the box for me?

If there was that much space between your toes and the end of the shoe, I'd say those were just too big! I would try going down a size or two.
I don't notice that booties make my feet look big. I do have rather long feet (9.5), so they don't look small, either, but I don't find most booties unflattering. If you're worried about it, you can look for some with a strap or buckle detail that visually cuts the length.

It may be that your eye just needs to adjust to a new look for you.

I only have booties in dark brown and black. I tried a printed one and that made me feel like I had clown feet. : )

Well, both may be true ! I don't think booties are a foot-reducing look, for sure. There's just more shoe there, basically. But I finally began to get some idea of what styles just were likely to make my feet look ginormous vs. be more streamlined. Heh--I haven't found my perfect pair, yet!. there are so many styles that you may need to get some idea of which styles are more aligned with how you like to see your feet. It does sound like that's too much extra space-- either size is off or it's a style that adds unnecessary length that you may not like.

Sounds like the fit is off to me! I'm another 9 1/2. As long as the look isn't extreme, I find that the booties balance my frame better. My feet may not look small, but I look grounded and my legs often look longer, instead of looking "sturdy" over delicate shoes.

Thanks, ladies. I think you're right. Part of the problem may be that I have a wider foot. These were narrower at the toe, so while I may have been able to squeeze into a half size smaller, my toes would have been crowded. I just tried another style on at the store and they definitely looked better, so I'm sure it was just the style and fit.

Another question, can you wear them with straight leg jeans without rolling up the pant leg, or would that just look silly?

Those are cute booties! Straight leg jeans would lay over top of them nicely -- it'd be great if there was a little scrunch at the ankle. Jeggings might tuck inside - a lot of the super skinnies are only cut to the anklebone anyway.

These would be called "almond toe" booties, and they are great for a modern classic wardrobe. They should work pretty well with a wider foot, particularly since they have a higher toe box.

Can you wear 3 inch heels comfortably? I could wear these for an entire work day, or out to church, etc. For lots of walking, shopping, etc., I'm more comfy in 2 inchers. These have a nice cushioned sole, though, which would help.
