django and juliette shoes - yay or nay?

I just got these today, but I got second thoughts on how these look, maybe little clowny?
What sold me on these is how comfortable they are, and that they are not too high.
I bought them at the local boutique, and found this web site that has something like it just for you to see the brand if you like.

They look like shoes my mother wore in photographs from
the twenties? thirties? I have a preference for this kind of
thing but in modern terms they look a bit like character shoes,
worn onstage. But, hey, Catherine Zeta Jones was a hoofer.
I think the website's quote about "Mary Janes of the future"
is optimistic, though. I think they have a lovely toebox.
Do you usually wear wide strap shoes?

If you have reservations about the style, then think about it before you wear them outside. If you aren't comfortable wearing them, they will sit in the closet and collect dust.

I love them! They are very retro. Is that what you were after style wise? And do they work with your outfits? If yes, then definitely keep them...I would wear them in a heartbeat

I think they are neat. I love the style and if these fit your style I say go for it! I am always envious of fab shoes on people even when they are not my style. I just love the idea of them.

I love these! I think with dark hose the wide strap will work especially well. I'd wear them, for sure.

I think paired with a bit of an edgy outfit these have great possibility. They are quite retro though and if you're not careful could come across as not current. Just my first reaction.

I LOVE them. If you are an older woman dressing church ladyish they would look frumpy but on a younger person mixed with tights, skinny jeans, pencil skirts, floaty skirts....fantastic! I want them now!
