I mentioned wanting to try some more colorful bags. This is true, but I also need a more neutral summer bag because I don't feel my black one is working with all of my outfits right now. I'm thinking of going with a metallic, a lighter snakeskin, or a toupe suede. I think this is my best bet to spend money right now, which still leaves me itching to try color and bag swapping with outfis. I can't do that with no bags.

I have a couple of prints that I think are good candidates for summer bags with my wardrobe. They are prints, and would mostly go with my solid color outfits which right now I'm having the most trouble styling.

What do you think of the prints? Are fabric bags fashionable in the summer? I don't see a lot of them, and I don't want it to come off too crafty looking.

Fabric #1 is a thrifted talbots skirt that is my size but petite. I could have traded it back for credit at the thrift store but I loved the fabric so much I decided it was worth it to keep.

Fabric #2 Is a Flax brand Flax Linen long tunic that my mom gave me along with some other fabric she was passing along. It's too small as a tunic and not quite my style either. I do like that the colors are more muted but still bright. To me the stripe gives it a little menswear vibe. The colors are coral, purple, and berry.

I'm not sure on a pattern yet. Here are a couple that have caught my eye but I need to look a lot more.

Maybe something like this for the linen only bigger...
