Love it! Looks just as good as the inspiration!

Jaw dropping moment to see his artistry! That is lovely. I like cuffs and have the same problem of fit being too loose. What a happy ending to your search. Enjoy it!

sounds like a business is born.

i'd buy one. it's spectacular.

That’s amazing!Cant believe it’s his first attempt,maybe a new career is beckoning.

That’s freaking fantastic!
I love the brooch you paired with the cuff, and am really in awe he just whipped it up! I have opposite issues, a full forearm & occasional puffiness, so I’d be requesting slightly larger ones. It’s really beautiful and very ‘you’.

Thanks so much everyone! I read all your comments to DH this morning and he was very chuffed! He seems much keener on making me a second one now. He he!

Although it is a prototype there was a lot of work in it. Including a failed attempt at building a silicone mould from one of my existing cuffs. And lots of heating, bending, grinding and polishing. Even attaching the brooch was tricky. And lots of fittings to get the shape right. Lots of time! So I don’t think a business beckons. But it’s fun for a hobby.

And of course the fact that it was made for me with love makes it extra special.

I need an occasion to wear it now!

He is definitely a keeper! Beyond impressed.

Oh my gosh, you don't need an occasion to wear that cuff - heck, wear it to the grocery store! It is stunning!

KILLER

How creative. WOW. Clever hubs!

How did DH make the resin cuff? With a mould?

Wow, that is amazing, Brooklyn! How sweet of your husband to do this! It looks as if it will work seamlessly with your style and made a wonderful statement.

Thanks everyone!

Angie, at first we tried to buy a mould to make the cuff but we couldn’t find one wide enough. So then DH tried to make a mould himself (using one of my existing cuffs) but that all went wrong. In the end he made the cuff from a flat piece of resin that he poured, cut, heated, and bent into shape and then polished. It really was a labour of love

Nemosmom, so not too much for the dog park then?

I'm impressed. Now Ms. B needs one to match

Awe, Angie. Ms B already has her studded leather monogrammed collar handmade by DH and her special occasion pink zirconia collar made my DH. I’m catching up with her
